People who believe strongly in their religions believe that ONLY their religion can answer life's questions.
Those people think that they are correctly judging life and that only they will proceed to heaven.
If there was a god/heaven, and if god was as nice, caring, and loving as the [Christian's] say he is, then he would give everyone an equal chance. He would not judge people by which family they were born into (thus, which religion the individual was born into), but by the individual's ethics.
I see nothing wrong with being atheist.

Atheism is on the rise. There's more interest, because there are more people embracing or being exposed to the concept.
Religious groups have a great deal of power, and together make up the majority in most societies on the planet. People who refute or deny religious belief are a threat to that power, and to their majority. As atheists' numbers increase, I'd expect to see more attacks from those of a religious persuasion.
As an atheist, I tend to think humankind's evolution beyond religious belief is a good thing. When I see people asking about why or how atheists come to reject the existence of gods, I try to answer. I probably come across as one of those who thinks I have the exact definition of atheism. Which I do, as it pertains to me, and I try to give a clear sense of that to those who ask. Since many answers are usually forthcoming, other viewpoints are readily available.

Well there have been a lot of that against Christians too. Some people of both groups insult each other. Atheism especially, because they dont believe in ANYTHING. While all religions believe in something supernatural, like karma or the Tao.

because preachers use the phrase "Godless heathens" (and similar expressions all the time). This is why it is difficult for some people to understand that atheists are normal people just like them...except for the whole worshiping God thing.
-But there are accusations lowered at everyone on here, not just atheists. There are hateful people in every faith.

i could say it somewhat is blind loss of suggestions for the successor of St. Peter. diverse denominations of Christians have self belief for some unusual reason that we worship him or some ingredient. What they fail to make sure is he's the administrative of Christ's church in the international, he's unquestionably fueled by potential of using the Holy Spirit together as speaking infallibly which i've got have been given no longer have been given faith has occurred in some ingredient like 60 years. he's somewhat the administrative who leads the flock to our Heavenly Father, somewhat and Earthly consultant. i discover the commonplace public of the people who do mock or hate the Pope to in many cases be thoroughly defective of their own Christianity and faith. As optimal Catholics understand we are the only Church Christ began, besides the undeniable fact that diverse denominations deny this subsequently lack the understanding from the Holy Spirit approximately who the Pope somewhat is to Catholics and actual the comprehensive international.

Well, I can only speak for myself here. I find it EXTREMELY annoying that people talk about biblical events as if it was the pure, provable truth. Especially if it is the "answer" to some earnest history question. I mean, religious conviction this way or that, but can everyone please stay with the facts when answering questions?
I don't know if that is what you meant, though...

People think they're the only ones who know the Right Way, so they have to make sure they tell everyone!

People apparently want to know what it is. Rather than looking it up, they invent something for themselves to believe it is. Lazy.

It's not that complicated. The concern comes from fear.
