but still worth it to be their own masters. Do you think you would like to try it?

You really are an idiot for comparing people that were forced, bought and sold, beaten and raped into serving a "master" and Christians who freely worship Their Creator. If you can't see the difference, then you are not even worthy of being your own master.

May God Bless you.

Holy cow that is a good question.

Fear did, however, stop a lot of slaves from leaving the plantations after they were freed. They prefered to stay with the master and help him because he was so "nice" to them.

Thanks just the same, but I've already been freed from a lot of bitterness, pain, and suffering. Why would I want to go back to that?

John 8:36 "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

They did have it tough, and it's no laughing matter. But we are all Americans anyway,so let it go.......Leave it where it is, in the past.I'm a second generation Irish. They had to pay for them (great grands) and there 12 children to be brought over here. They were in debt the moment they stepped on the ship.Funny part, she was expecting my grand father when she landed. He was bred in Ireland and born free in USA.......

if your trying to say those who don't believe in God are "their own master" "free-thinkers" if you will, I think that is such a self centered concept. We ALL make our own decisions, if you say that I want my path guided by the Lord is a weakness, I happily profess to being weak and will rejoice in being redeemed. Have we become too self absorbed to believe there is nothing bigger then us? How sad we have become.

do you think its funny that ur ancestors raped. severly beat up, controlled killed my ancestors. slavery was very serious and i wish it never existed. thats why we live in such a racist world thats why us black people cant get the best jobs or best oppurtunities in the world. blacks are forever treated as last class people. ur no better than me. i hate what white people did to us that why i admire people like martin luther king and malcom x who tried to get blacks equal rights as u whites
