3 Simicins came through Ellis Island. Two were Hungarian, the third Romanian. So you're an Eastern European on that one.

Bilgin is probably an adulteration of another name. To find out, you'll have to research back on that line of the tree and find census and naturalization records to find out the heritage.

Try the LDS Family Search site, Bilgin is German in the early dates of what was found. Simicin just comes up in the USA there. On Ellis Island, Simicin comes up from Romania and Hungary.
