I will bet it's already been doctored and what you see is about half of what really happened.

From what I was told the hierarchy in the US were told that British troops WERE in the area and the pilots didn't receive the correct information. This doesn't change the fact that they didn't "clock" the BRitish markings on the vehicles so either the Yanks were stupid or dumb or probably both. About time our government started forgetting our "special relationship" and pulling our troops out of THEIR mess. I believe that the airmen concerned should be forced to face the families of the British soldier killed during the inquest and if the Yanks refuse they should start extradition procedures in the same way that the yanks would do, but of course our pathetic feeble Scottish run government wouldn't do so.

The scary thing is that the British forces has told the US pilot that no friendly forces were in the area.
Even more scary is that in the Gulf War a similar incident occurred because the British forces had told a US pilot that no friendly forces were in the area.
The most scary thing is that the British seemed to be so interested in blaming the US for their own screw up that they never corrected the problem that caused them to give bad information to their allies.
How many more people will have to die before the British start providing accurate position reports to their allies?

It is a sad day when friendly fire kills any person who is a comrade, Its just a sad, even more so.
even more so when the man who caused it is still in charge of His Forces
Think of all the others that are no more.
Pol Pot, Hitler, Mussilini,Idi Amin.Stalin, with the exception of Tony Blair Strange how they can pass away, and people not worry, even thru all the grief they caused

Interesting Smartpulse, but what if the enemy were also using orange panels? easy enough to copy.
And I would also like to know why the British did not have their IFF transponders online.
Covert operations perhaps.

They are only allowing it to be shown to the family and the coroner - but we've seen it already so it doesn't make a lot of sense.
