She's not a massive eater but she has a healthy, varied diet and she's having about 3 oz of cow's milk in the morning, about 6oz in the afternoon and 8oz at bedtime. She's started not really wanting her afternoon milk and as she has yoghurt, cheese etc, I was wondering if she needed it.

The new canada food guide recommends that they get 2 servings of
milk/dairy products per day. A serving is 8oz.As long as she gets this minimum amount its is okay to allow more, just remember you are the parent, you are in control. You know what would be too much for yourself, imagine her tiny tummy.. Avoid substituting with juice, its a bad habit to get into. I think what she is having per day sounds good to me. You can find a food guide chart for the whole family and customize according to your daily activities just go to healthcanada.gc.ca for more information

My pediatrician said 16-2oz daily. But I say, if she eats well, just continue giving her a variety of foods and offer her milk twice per day.

She's getting plenty of nutrition from other things, so really she doesn't need as much milk now that she's on solids.
