A guy I was seeing from Bangledesh is Muslim, but yet when he thought I was pregnant he wanted me to have an abortion. Why would someone do that? I later found out that he had a wife over in his country, so I know that played a part in it. But regardless of that, that is a human life and every Muslim knows that abortion is forbidden in Islam. I was so offended by that. I am sick of people claiming God and turn around and do something totally different!

I am also Muslim & I do not judge my fellow Muslims for what others do. I was wrong also for fornicating. I just feel like he has a cold heart to murder his own baby. He tried to justify it by saying he wanted a DNA test because it might not have been his. Which was totally untrue because he was the only one I was with. I found out I wasnt pregnant. But if I had of, there is no way possible that I would kill my baby. The ironic part about it is that he still had unprotected sex with me after that. So I dont understand why men say one thing, but do another. (Also this was all before I found out he was married. Although he still wants to see me discreetly.) He uses yahoo too. If he sees this, he knows who he is in his heart.

Most people don't want abortions, especially those devoted to their faith. What you are describing are not the actions of a pious Muslim, but of a selfish man who just happens to be Muslim in name only. A true Muslim would fear and respect Allah, and would respect you.

I am sorry for all you have been through and I truly hope you find a man who loves and respects you as he should.

I'm not a muslim, but would like to answer you. Whatever your religion be, the prime thing to be practised is the love of GOD for us, and how he wanted us to live a life of peace. When you commit wrong in purpose, you should have the mind to reveal it to GOD and he is the only person who forgives. From your question, it's clear that the person who was with you is not a real human in mind. He was mis-guiding you in life, so the question of having an abortion from him is not to be dealt with. How can you take away a precious life without GOD'S permission? What you did with him is sin and don't be compelled to commit that again by having your child killed in your womb. There is only one love and one GOD, which is the ultimate guide that shows us the true way of hope. Be calm and think positive, you will have success. Take care and protect your child too. good luck to you.

Although I am not Muslim, I totally agree that this is a human life.
Killing it would be murder.

DO NOT do it. Fight to keep the baby.

If you really do not want it, find someone that would want a baby and give it to them.

I have seen a premature baby at 26 weeks and it was playing with the visa in the incubator and it was very much aware.
I will show you one.

This is what happen to this baby when it is aborted

DO NOT allow that to happen. Imagine how much it would suffer.

Honey, why are you taking this man as a representative of a practicing muslim. He was clearly committing adultery. I really would call him a pious muslim. However I dont know what is in his heart....I am just wondering why dont people ever hold christians by the same astrigent code....I mean how many people consider themselves as church going christians yet commit theft, abortion, fornication, abortion, pedophilia e.t.c. and no one brings up their religion.

He is obviously not a practicing Muslim or God fearing man. If he were, we wouldn't be dating, cheating on his wife, and push you to kill an innocent life due to his actions. He will get what he deserves sooner or later.

*Edit*
Stay away from this guy, he doesn't respect you...he accused you of sleeping around behind his back. He doesn't deserve your time nor the chance of getting punished in the afterlife over this.

Firstly i would say that he was commiting a sin while dating with someone, cheating on his wife and then asking you to get aborted.........This aqll is forbidden in islam.and he is a sinner....i won't him idiot or ignorant because this is basics of islam which every muslim should knows very well......Please don't generalise it for all muslims...you would find good and bad peoples in every community ! and we are ashamed of such low quality peoples in our community !

Peace !

Do not have an abortion, my whole family is Persian and Muslim and it is forbidden , he is a lukewarm muslim and doesn't want to deal with the consequences of having sex.

the same reason anyone would want an abortion I guess.. they aren't ready for kids.. so apparently when it "all comes down to it" religion can only be followed so far... before another option takes over.
