Get engaged in the subject. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Find one interesting thing about school and focus heavily on that one thing.
There are many ways to find something that you like about school.
Consider this: What if you were homeschooled?
- You would have no more friends (or at least a lot fewer)
- You would have to be taught by your parent/gaurdian (even more boring than school.)

I pay attention, and yes school is boring. This is because our current school system is set up much the way it was 100 years ago, with kids taking notes on teacher's lectures. I do most of my learning at home, on the Internet. Also, almost everyone finds at least one of the "basic" subjects they are forced to take in high school and below boring.
Best thing to do is try and get high points on your tests so you can go to a college and learn about something you actually care about.

Try to get into a 'magnet' school or some kind of better school.
If you already have interests, sometimes there are schools in a given state or city which cater to those interests.
For public schools there is a bureaucracy, very entrenched. It consists mostly of people who usually do not know much about any particular subject, and very little about everything. But they have gone to college -- a 'teaching' college. They get bachelor's, master's, and doctorates, and continuing blah and fodder all in that.
They know very little science, what is important for life skills, how to teach students about law and government, even less about ethics. Cannot talk about pitfalls in life.
They are not enthusiastic, nor competent about engineering, nursing, medical, electronics, mathematics, earth sciences, construction, energy, efficiency, understanding and managing people, working with people, world history, geography.....
A BIG ZERO. The students you find in public schools nowadays also include more than two goof ball, annoying, recalcitrant, trouble-making idiots per class. These are NOT SEPARATED into separate classes. Thus only two destroy 35% of the learning experience for everyone else.
It is 300% worse in inner city schools.
AS for you, sounds like you are NOT getting enough exercise. Ride a bike more, safely in a safe area. Start learning all about Yogic Breathing Exercises. Start learning Yoga.
Develop a hobby. Start exploring for things you can learn on your own. How can you help in repairing your own home, or finding the necessary information on the computer.
Can you type yet? Why not? Why not learn typing?
Do you know about the plants and animals in your area? Do you have a garden? Do you grow vegetables and know about those which are good for your health?
Are you an artist? Have you examined the patterns in nature, the birds, flowers, leaves, animals? Can you paint?
Can y;ou write poems?
Can you talk for four days without stopping about the heavens and the earth -- very easy to accomplish. I could do this for two or three months straight, taking only eights hours off per day.
Have you familarized yourself with Women in History?
Do you know how to make any clothes?
Do you know about fabrics, natural and otherwise?
Can you make a Bird House? A decorative one?
Can you build a clock?
Can you make the most unusal and workable flying kite in your neighborhood?
Can you put on a jumping rope exhibition?
Can you redecorate your own room or draw up plans that are acceptable to the rest of the family for some other room?
What can you cook? Is it edible?
There are lots of things like these to work on.
I am a male and even I have worked some on all of these things.
There is lots of very interesting stuff for everyone.
Now is the time to develop your curiosity, to use your mind and brain.
Something around you is begging for attention this very moment.
Maybe your mother needs help with something.
Can you make cookies? These are good in the winter.
Can you assist in some way at your church?
Can you wash the car? Treat the dog or cat for fleas?
Do you know 101 things to do with popcorn? Did you look for that on Yahoo Answers?
Does your Grandmother have any suggestions?
Did you collect all her best recipes? Get her advice on life?
Did you ask her about her life experiences, what was different?
Is there anything useful, constructive, or pretty that you can do with junk from around your house or neighborhood?
Do you help your mother find the best bargains when shopping?
Do you keep and save coupons that may be useful?
Read the junk mail and sort out what is good for your family?
Look up things on the computer?
Did you help someone else with something today?
Could you be a cheerleader or play a musical instrument?
Did you make friends with other girls and see what hobbies and interests they have?

Mainly because it's filled with boring unmotivated and lazy kids. Most who keep late hours watching TV programs like Bigot Brother or playing dumb games on Game Boys or X boxes instead of using the time to read ahead and be informed. If teachers have to contantly reiterate basic information because your too lazy to do some reading for your self school will always be boring.
If you think future employment will be any better for you forget it! its not the task that's boring its YOU!
