May Peace Mercy and Blessings of Allah(swt) be on all of you.

to answer your question we have to analyse the three scriptures of Christianity Judaism and Islam .please read it all and you will get the answer hopefully.

So let us analyse the three Scriptures of these three monotheist religions.

Many people have the misconception that Islam came into this world with Muhammad (pbuh) and he was the founder of the religion of Islam.Infact is there since time immemorial. since the day man sat foot on earth. since Adam (pbuh) came to earth.

The word Islam in Arabic means “ submitting your will to Allah(swt)”.means any one who submits his will to Allah is called a Muslim.
Quranic belief is that all the prophets that came before Muhammad (pbuh) ( for example Moses , Jesus , Solomon, noah, abrahim (pbut)) were all sent by Allah(swt) and they all preached the same religion.

Allah(swt) says in the Glorious Qur’an in Fatir ch:35 v:24 “there is nto a single nation or a tribe to whom we have not sent a warner or a guid(messenger)”.

Similar message is given in Raad ch:13 v:7 “and to every nation we have sent a Warner(messenger/prophet).

By name only 25 messengers are mentioned in the Quran(for example Moses,Jesus,Noah,Abrahim,Solomom PBUT ets).but according to the sahih(authentic ) Hadith of the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) almost 124000 messengers were sent to the face of the earth.
Allah says in Ghafil ch:40 v:78 as well as in Nisa ch:4 v:164 “we relate to you the stories of some of the prophets and for others we don’t. means some messengers are mentioned in the Quran and some are not.

Similarly by name 4 devine revelations are mentioned in the Quran.
1)Torah ( revealed to Moses pbuh)
2)2)Zaboor(revealed to David pbuh
3))3)enjeel(revealed to Jesus pbuh)
4)4)Quran( revealed to Muhammad pbuh).

Again some are not mentioned.

According to the Quran all the Prophets came before Muhammad(pbuh) ,they were meant for a particular group of people and the message they brought was meant for the particular time period.

Allah says in Quran ch:3 v:49 “ Jesus was sent as a messenger to the children of Isreal”
Similar message was given for Moses (pbuh) .Quran says “ Moses was sent only for the children of Isreal).

Similar message is given in the Bible in Gospel of Mathew ch:10 v:5-6 .jesus (pbuh) said “ go ye not into theway of jentile (non jews)enter not into the city of esamaltine but rather go to the house of the lord sheep of isreal.”

Similar message is given in Gospel of Mathew ch:15 v:24 where Jesus(pbuh) said “I have nto been sent but for the lost sheep of isreal .

As the messege given to these prophet was meant for a particular time period therefore Allah(swt) did not find it fit to preserve the revelations(Bible,Torah,Zaboor, Injeel) sent to them.We muslims believe in the Torah and Injeel to be the word of God but we also believe that this present Bible is nto the Injeel revealed to Jesus(pbuh) and the Torah is not the bresent Bible(old testament ) revealed to Moses(pbuh) . ebacuse there has been a lot of human interpolation and fabrication .and the present Bible contains some parts which may be considered the word of God(but we cant say for sure) but along with it it also contains words of prophets , the historians, also contains absurdities( man made errors) and even obscenities). Therefore we do not considered the present Bible to be the words of God.

In other words they (Jesus and Moses pbut)did not preach Christianity or Judaism but infact they preached Islam. If you analyse the Bible , the word Christianity is nto mentioned any where. Jesus(pbuh) never heard this word Chistianity in his life neither did he ever said that he has come to preach Christianity.the word Christian appears just once in the bible in the book of acts and it was the name given by the people of antioc to the followers of the Jesus Christ(pbuh).
Neither did its mentioned in the old Testament anywhere that Moses(pbuh) preached Judaism.and the question whether Moses and Jesus(pbut) were jews or not?. Well as far as the geographics are concerned they were jews because they belong to the tribe of Judah( as people live in England are called English and in USA are called Americans). As Allah (says in the Quran that “O mankind we have created you from a single pair and devided you into nations and tribes so that you can recognise your selves”. Therefore as far as the recognition is concern Moses and Jesus (pbuh) were jews .
Quran says that they all preached Islam and they all were Muslims. If we analise the Bible along with many other places its mentioned in the Gospel of John ch:5 v:30 that Jesus said “ I can of my self do nothing , as I hear I judge and my judgement is just . as I seek not my will but the will of my father who has sent me”.

Any one who says that I seek not my will by the will of God is called Muslim in Arabic( as explained above).therefore Quran rightly says that Jesus along with the other prophets(pbut) was amouslem as all the prophets submitted there will to Allah(swt) the one and only God.

Quranic perspective is very clear that there is no other God but Allah(swt) and all the Messengers came on the face of earth belonged to the same brotherhood of prophet hood.
But since Muhammad (pbuh) is the last messenger as Quran says in Ahzab ch:33 v:40 “Muhammad (pbuh) is nto a father of any of you men but is the messenger of Allah(swt)and is the seal of Prophets. And Allah is all knowing and full of knowledge.

Allah also says in Ambia ch:21 v:107 that “ we have sent the not but as a mercy for the whole of man kind”.

Sabah ch:34 v:28 “ we have sent the as a universal messenger giving gladtidings to men and warning them against sin most of them , they do not understand.”
Therefore Muhammad was sent as a last messenger and therefore for the whole of a man kind and not just for the particular group of people and arabs only.

Also Where as regarding Qur’an Allah says “ we are the ones who revealed this book to you and we are the one to protect it “.as Quran is the last and the final revelation Allah has taken the responsibility upon him self to guard it from any interpolation and fabrication(human) as it is the complete guid for ones life and also a complete system for implementation in the society as a whole( in terms of running a state)
According to Sir William( one of the strongest critics of Islam) .he said” Quran is the only religious scripture on the face of the earth which has maintain its original form for 1200 years”. He said it 1400 years ago.

Infact it wont be wrong according to the Bible and the Qur’an that there is nothing different in the teachings of Abrahim ,Moses(pbuh) and its continuation by Jesus(pbuh) and finally by the final messenger of Allah (swt) Muhammad(pbuh) as they all submitted there will to Allah(swt) hence called Muslims and Belonged to the same religion ,preached the same religion of Islam which started when man sat foot on teh earth and the teachings were completed when the Qur’an was revealed completely to the man kind as the criteria to live and judge by the mankind.

May Peace Mercy and Blessings of Allah(swt) be on all of you.

Abraham was once known as Abram. He got the name change through a covenant with God. Abraham means "father of a multitude". Abraham becam a father of a multitude of vatious middle eastern nations, including the Jewish nation of Israel and some of the nations that eventually became Islamic.

The Jewish nation was kept separate from the the world genetically untill the Messiah came.

Jews did not believe Jesus of Nazareth to be the Messiah. Muslims believe Jesus Christ (who was born and brought up as a Jew) to have been a prophet. The followers of Jesus Christ, who very quickly in the first century got the name Christian, believed him to be the son of God and the chosen saviour of mankind.

True Christians look to the likes of Abraham as an example of how to live a life of Godly devotion. Muslim also have a very high regard for Abraham, though I don't know exactly what their beliefs are with regard to him.

They are also required to read the first five books of the Bible which contain a detailed account of Abraham's life. Christians are also required to read the Bible, including the first five books.

As a result of the common background, Islam and Christianity are both religions of peace, even though the actions of a minority make it look otherwise.

Your question isn't very clear, I'm afraid. Can you post more details?

If you're asking about Christian-Muslim links 'from the time of Abraham'... there were none, as Abraham's life pre-dates the beginning of either Christianity or Islam.

But both Christianity and Islam recognise Abraham as a prophet.

READ YOUR BIBLE, people! Abraham had a son with his wife's maid Hagar when his name was Abram. That was Ishmael, whose descendants are the followers of Islam today. The son that God gave to Abraham and his wife Sarah was Isaac. His descendants are the children of Israel, and are the ones that God's covenant extends to, not to Ishmael's descendants. Christ was sent by God to redeem the children of Israel and was rejected by the Israelites, but accepted by the Gentiles (non- jews), and is the Lord and Savior of the world. Jesus' line can be traced back all the way to Adam & Eve. That includes Abraham.

answer: because they don't agree on some very important parts: Jews and Muslims will never worship Jesus as divine - Christians insist on that Jews and Christians will never accept Mohammad as a prophet for Judaism - Muslims insist on that Muslims and Christians will never quit trying to convert each other and Jews Huda neglects to mention a LONG history of anti-Christian and anti-Jewish actions, persecutions and massacres by Muslims throughout the ages Including the baseless claim that Jews kill prophets - they're brassed off because Mohammad didn't measure up to Jewish standards to be a prophet for Judaism.

Yes there is both religions come from Abraham's son's, although they are from different mother's. This is the reason I don't understand the hatred some people of these religions show for each other, they are related, we should show some respect for each other.

Then their was the child named Ishmael which is the child of the flesh. If e are of faith then we are counted as the seed of Abraham Isaac. Palestinians/muslims are the children of Ishmael

Not really. There were no Christians until the time of Christ and no Muslims until about four hundred years after that.

Abraham (pbuh): A Prophet.
Christians: Followers of Prophet Jesus (pbuh)
Muslims / Islam: Followers of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Abraham (pbuh) had 2 sons.
Both Isaac (pbuh) and Ishmael (pbuh) were Prophets. We believe Ishmael (pbuh) to be a forefather of our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He was Abraham's (pbuh) son from his wife Hagar. Isaac (pbuh) was Abraham's (pbuh) son from his first wife Sarah.
Ishmael (pbuh) was the elder brother of Isaac (pbuh). They were both sons of Abraham (pbuh).

Abraham (pbuh) was a Muslim because he submitted to the will of God. The Arabs are among his descendants from his son Ishmael (pbuh). So too are the children of Israel (pbuh), his descendants from his son Isaac (pbuh). Jesus (pbuh) was from among the descendants of Isaac (pbuh). Muhammed (pbuh) is a descendant of Abraham (pbuh) from his son Ishmael (pbuh). The roots are the same.

So the Jews, Christians and Muslims are from among his descendants. The Prophets (pbut) of these major world religions are also from among his descendants.

And Allah knows best.
