NO. if he has runny poop but is still drinking then you need to let him get it out of his system. giving him anything to firm it up could just make it more difficult for him to poop so unless it has blood in it or he is vomiting...just keep taking him outside to do his buisness. if it is liquid, then I would take up his food for the night. but one runny stool is nothing to panic about. my dog has gotten a few stomach virus' and he had nasty liquid poop ever 2 hours...all I could do is take up his food and let him get it out of his system...as long as he was staying hydrated then there was nothing I could do. just monitor his drinking

Actually, bread isn't a good food for dogs - it has yeast in it and usually sugars which can cause harm. If your yorkie has runny bowels then you should call your vet and ask for a fecal test to be done. It sounds gross however you will need to take a sample of the bowel to the vets so that they can test it. You can ask for the vet to just check the sample (so you don't have to pay for the vet visit) and it is really inexpensive (ours was less than $14) and a great way to find out fast what is wrong. This is the only way that you can make sure that your Yorkie is okay. They are such small dogs, therefore I wouldn't suggest that you wait too long. It could be that he has a cold, deficiancy in the food you are giving him, or something else. Just remember never to give your dog any human foods - it will cause a very bad stomach ache for your best (especially rice!). Good Luck! I hope your vet finds that nothing is the matter!

Rice and organic chicken broth in small doses is good for the runs.
But first figure out WHY your baby has the runs, did you change his food? Is he feeling poorly because he ate something [people food] Once you have established the reason oviously avoid whatever it is. If the Runs continue see your vet as it could be a sign of something more significant like Parvo

bread? i don't think that will do any good at all. dogs can get runny stools from changing foods, eating different treats, or eating too much fatty people food. if it doesn't get better in a day or so, definitely contact your vet!

Don't give him bread. Dogs are wheat intolerant. Try some rice instead

Its probably runny because of something it already ate. wait a day and see if it goes away before doing something.
