How many gods do you have. Which gods? Do you believe in the age old idea of senior and junior gods. Which religion's gods do you believe in?

Are you off your medication then?
My mum was when Jesus visited her (regularly) at night but she was better when she took her pills. He would stop visiting till she forgot them again.

Most importantly, If YOU know god, do you have any other interesting imaginary friends you care to tell me about?

Human beings by nature, having the ability to reason, need an answer for everything. If we can't find an answer by using rational thinking, deduction, scientific reasoning through research, experimentation and discovery, then we make one up. The scientists, archeologists, anthropologists, geologists, and all the other ists are making progress to figure out how and why we are here. That's better than the apologists who can't make a rational explanation for creating a system of blind faith based on no proof whatsover and calling it god. In the algebraic formula the unknown is usually known as x. In religion it's known as god.

Man invented `Gods' because he needed to believe there was something better at the end of this life. I have read up on Roman , Greek and Viking Gods alone side the christian God, it's interesting but I tend to believe in a `greater power', if you wish to call that power `God' then so be it. I do believe in God but I do not believe in churches or labelling religions, such as Muslim, Jews, Christians etc. When examined closer, they all actually believe in the same God so why all the fighting? My God is a power higher than me, higher than governments, higher than people, but I do not believe my God is the same conventional one the public in general worship. The bible was written some centuries after the death of Christ by a pagan Roman wanting to please his people. God is there, religion has spoilt his meaning!

There is no question that you are right in acknowledging that man invented or created a god. And man has chosen to bow down and worship that god as well. In fact there seems to be no end to the length that man will go in giving everything he has to serving the interests of his god. All of his thoughts, his time, his energy, his money and his possessions are devoted exclusively to the pleasing of his god.

Let anyone else try to interfere with, infringe upon, transgress against, or for that matter even suggest all who worship this god are missing the mark or perhaps even caught up in deceptive fantacy, and they are ready to go to war to defend this god and their right to freely worship him.

His name is Self, His power is Individualism, His doctrine is Humanism and his destiny is...?

They were pig-ignorant and needed something to explain creation, disasters etc. Now that we know better, those that still believe in this nonsense look even bigger fools.
I think if people are going to be religious, then pantheistic religions are far more sensible where you have gods of sports wear (Nike), wine, war etc. Believers of pantheistic religions seemed to kill people a lot less than monotheistic religions, probably because their hearts weren't really in it. Less sinister altogether.

How can the created thing suggest that it has created it's own creator? Man created the automobile, did the automobile then turn around and create a man? Did the telephone create human beings? Did a single blade of grass create the sky, mountains, and the stars (also created things)? What has the created thing created that is able to create it? Nothing!!

God is Love. If Love exists, God exists!

Man did not invent God. I do not believe in religion. Religion just confuses some of us including me. At one time I did not serve God. When God turned my life around I have served him ever since. I found God is my every thing. God is all I have left. Sometimes I believe God does these things to draw us close to him. We are his servants. At the time when I didn't know God. I didn't know that we are to serve him.

Ah ha ha ha, how cute. Your trying to get a reaction from a bunch of people by asking a question and making sure they know their beleif is the opposite of yours. Well ********, Im sure you will get your little reaction and you can get your rocks off. I will answer your question however, God was created by man for mans constant fear of death. I suppose the idea of just becoming completely and totally nothing scared them so. Nothing more than a memory at least. Please dont think for a second that I agree with you on this issue however I know the true secret to attaining life after death without a god and you will never know. Enjoy pissing off the simple minds you will piss off.

Remember this, every second that passes you become closer to death and in that moment you will see the truth.
Say there is no god but imagine this, which one is better
1.don't believe in god, do whatever you like and become more scared as death becomes closer and you become one step closer to finding out if god exists or not and if he does you have done nothing worth while in your life.
2.believe in god. Enjoy life without hearting others and even if god doesn't exist you haven't lost anything but if he does you will be payed for your good deeds.

Which one would you choose?

Its funny that you said 'why did man invent God' beacuse when i first read it i thought it was 'why did God invent man'. I'm a catholic and i don't speak to God directly but i know in everything i do god is deciding upon and helping me through. I don't agree with many of the stories in the bible in fact i think most of them are made up but the fact of the matter is that the stories moralls are with us everyday. Thank You.

People do that.Just the religion of science. They try to put together their view of life. They come up with theories.Make big leaps trying hard to come up why things are,the way they are. Then maybe sometime in their life it will be proved that it was crap.Or a many years later.
