...if so, would you prefer the electronic ticket method over a regular paper ticket?? I'm flying in April and have an e-ticket. Any and ALL info would be extremely helpful since this is my first time flying Northwest.

You will have no problems with an E-Ticket. That is what the industry has gone to for cost savings. You have to pay extra for a paper ticket these days and they are a pain. With an eticket, you can check in early and change your seats on the internet. This is very beneficial. Northwest as an airline is ok. They will charge you for a snack on the plane so either eat beforehand or bring something with you. If you are flying international, they will give you meals, but you will still have to purchase snacks.
