the same way I feel about celebrities acting like their political perspective is more valid than the "ordinary people".

disgusted.

Actually I think I am more upset about the media and "church" leaders playing up these people, if they had no coverage they would just go away.

Religion is not a trend, it's not something you take up because the other hot young stars are doing it.

it is a spiritual commitment you make to a higher power.

well except for Scientology, that's just a scam from the get go... a dream from a wigged out nut case.

I understand the usefulness of having "big names" involved with their faith, But the church leaders should be ashamed of them self's.

They make a mockery of what faith is supposed to be about. it is about finding more than you self, and its not supposed to be about star watching while listening to a sermon.

get celebrities off the forefront of religion and politics and the world will be a better place.

I don't know much about the Kabala, but I feel they must be minimizing it to make it something like wearing a red thread around your wrist for good luck. The Kabala wasn't supposed to be studied by anyone under 50, but these women just grab a little piece of it and try to manipulate the world to go their way.

I'm not in favor of scientology, either, but I think celebrities have a right to their own religious beliefs. Poor Tom Cruise demonstrated what can happen to young men who are all excited about their beliefs but don't have much maturity -- even if he is almost as old as I am.

I do not think they are turning Religions into Trends it is just that they are celebrities and the rest of the world like to follow celebrities, not only in religion but clothes and food everyone wants to be a celebrity.

Do celebrities have massive intellects? NO

All they can do is act. This begs the question, why are you listening to them? Would you ask the bus driver how to invest on Wall Street? Would you ask a mechanic how to treat a heart attack? Then why do you care about what actors and entertainers believe in? Ask them about acting and entertainment but remember even that field may have limited value as actors are just AVERAGE intellects.

If you don't care, then ask professional wrestlers.

My Golden Retriever has more impulse control than Linsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. I just sit back and enjoy the comedy ;)

perchance it really is a mirrored image of the turning out to be impact of atheism in American custom that we see more effective disagreements about atheism (a thanks to discover it, what ideas are fundamental to or properly desirable with atheism, no matter if atheism might want to also be a be conscious, etc.) and between atheists. In important area, lots of those disagreements might want to be a healthful element. Analogous to the fact by potential of both Steve Jobs or Steve Wozniak about the first Apple Macintosh (reported to be the first pc sturdy adequate to criticize). i do not imagine that any of those disagreements signifies that atheism is starting to be a faith. it would want to be "messy," yet messiness and warfare of words do not volume to a "faith." For the latter, lets choose professions of conception in a minimum of one supernatural being and a collection of doctrines or rituals or both meant to propitiate that being.

It is very annoying, but who am I to judge because in the end they will be judged and punished. It is also another way for Satan to try to win as many souls as possible, what better way than to cloud the truth of God in celebrities so the people who look up to them will turn away from God.

The only thing that celeb's know how to do is make everyone's life more miserable. they have steamy sexy stuff and they have no morals. They expect the right believers to forgoe their beliefs because they do not like Christians. I know that there a very few Celeb's that are indeed saved, but not many. Most are out the get their money and status symbols.
They will get their rewards now and we will get ours in Heaven. !!

When it comes to Scientology, it makes total sense... Scientology caters specifically to celebrities. They even have a celebrity center!

And I suppose the stars are always out to make themselves visible to the public, and what better way than to enthusiastically fling themselves into controversy?

I don't think that the celebrities turn religions into trends. The masses are responsible for that.
