First ofr all, we didn't "defile" their holy places. We have more respect than that. That's why the insurgents hid in them; they knew we wouldn't start anything with them in there. As far as making a mockery of my faith; believe me, plenty do all the time, but I don't shoot them for it.

NO, I would hide in a holy place and put all my weapons and ammo there so when I was attacked there I could make a media circus out of it. Another good idea would be to start killing my own people and make it look like the enemy did it, I could win world wide public support that way.

I would, but most religious people in this country understand that this is a religious war. In order to KEEP our places of religious worship free from another religion making a mockery of them we must go to their holy lands and take the fight to them.

Regardless of who started it, thats the way the world is. Radical Islam will not disapear after we leave Iraq. It will only become stronger and we must be prepared to deal with it.

Maybe.

BUT we aren't defiling Holy places. The insurgents are.

The biggest fight there is between the sunnis and shiites

That is funny that happened in my country and when we tried to protest they executed us. When we formed a army and fought they burned our homes, raped our women, stole our property and starved us. After wearing us down, they demanded we learn history as they taught it; they erased our heritage and culture. Even today we must act and believe what they teach or they will attempt filing civil charges against us or at a minimum ridicule us.

God Bless the Southerner People and its leaders and Soldiers.

No, I wouldn't because I don't really care or practise a religion but to you other question "If an invading Army came to liberate you but started instead imposing curfews and random home searches?" I probably would.

Could you cite some examples? And as you do so, please provide your sources? I am particularly interested in "defiled your Holy places" and "made a mockery of your faith"?

I hope that I am not asking too much.
