I could be learned behaviour - that she knows she will get attention if she makes a lot of noise.

the older my cat has gotten, the more she talks. I am not being mean or making jokes AT ALL because I'm a huge animal lover... but I think my cat could've gotten some sort of head injury because she seems a little out of it sometimes. She went to lay in the dryer once with the clothes already in there and my mom turned it on and heard sounds like shoes in there and stopped it immediately. I swear ever since then she was never the same. She is the biggest sweetheart ever and I've never once had a problem with her constant meowing. She loves attention and she is so spoiled with it. I think she just gets really lonely at night when everyone is sleeping cuz she constantly cries when I'm in bed.

She just missed you and she is happy to have you home.

I will say that whenever we come back from holiday our cats want to know us for 5 Min's then they turn there back on us (literally) and ignore us for the rest of the day, its like they are punishing us for going away.

our cats are always very verbal and you can have a real good conversation with them its brilliant fun.

Our cat did this also. It is cute for a few minutes however after a while it loses its cuteness. haha Guess they have a lot to say after a vacation alone. Although this seems crazy, we talk back to her and after a while of talking to her and rubbing her - she is much better. Also, make sure she isn't in heat! Before we got our cat spayed she was very vocal and demanding of attention while in heat. Just something to think about. Good Luck with the chatting one!

Indicative behavior of females trying to attract a mate. Having her neutered helps however the hormones remain. Only remedy is at some stage introduce her to a Tom Cat.

My male cat is like that, he wants me to know he is glad I am home and in time he stopped being so vocal and mouthy. It was really bad in the beginning but once your cat realizes that she can trust you and you are coming home she won't be so mouthy! They get nervous and scared they won't see you again, and she is very happy to tell you and thats her way to express it to you. Meow! LOL

She just wants attention. My cat crys all the time untill she gets what she wants, which can be anything from fresh water (even when she already has water) to being picked up and petted.

she is just happy communicating in her own little way. Which isdriving you nuts! but she will shut up eventually -try not to let it spoil the relationship you have with her.
