You can put any sort of oil in it as long as it is the same spec as the manufacturer calls for...if they recommend a 5w-30 blend and you put in 20w-50 it could create issues. No oil is going to magically increase power and torque although choosing the right oil for your application is important. Have you considered synthetic?

why would you want to use something also known as "green death"? quaker state is nothing but instant sludge

you can use it if you want to,but i wouldnt use quaker state,even to oil up my hinges.
