Well then i guess your getting friendly with someone on the net then .In a nutshell the answer is Yes it can and does work for some people i promise you.3 yrs ago my sister-in-law started chating quite accidently to a guy called Ian on the net. After a few months they decided to meet up(they both live in the same town)so She and her sister went to a pub for a drink to meet Ian.They met and got on really well and started to meet each week for a few hours. They then became an item and started officially dating and things went really well.In November 2006 they got married and 2 weeks ago she told me they where expecting there first child.I am very happy for them both they do as everybody does deserve to be happy. My sister-in-law is 33 and he is 37 so its never to late to find someone special and be happy. My only comment for you is be careful dont get sucked in to anything that does'nt feel right. If you meet go with friends etc don't leave yourself vunerable unless your 100% sure things are right.GOOD LUCK.

internet relationships can work, but also might not.. have a think about what your definition of an internet relationship is, and what a relationship is to you...
using the internet as a means of introduction is fantastic.. its no different than meeting somebody in a bar or club, we're all strangers at base level... and we all have to get to know each other.. disseminate information and make judgement calls on what we learn...
but you need to know what a relationship is to you... for some people its mental, for others its physical, and for the majority its both... an internet relationship is no different than a long distance relationship... work out how often you can meet up, how often you can spend communicating with each other and the level of commitment you'd like to have...
if you think you're in a relationship, or think one is developing, work out what your ultimate goal will be... do you both want to end up in the same place, together? and how committed are you to achieving it?
it can work, if you both want it to... good luck...

Yes it can!
I started chatting to a man on the internet in 2001, on our first meeting (after spending a lot of time chatting online!) we realised we wanted to be together. He sold his house, got a transfer with his job and moved over 100 miles to be with me in March 2002.
We got married in August 2006 and are very happy.

I have a friend in Michigan that met a guy in Kentucky on the net and now they are married. They are an odd couple though. She is very large lady and he is a "small" guy. BUT, they evidently love each other a lot.

If you are both honest with each other and there is attraction then I don't see why not. As long as you meet up and then have a regular relationship it must have the same chance as meeting in a pub etc.
