I'm sure he's bi--five kids is a lot for a guy who can only tolerate hetero sex. But paying a guy for sex once a month every month for three years sounds like a "constant" habit to me, too.
They'll only convince people in the faith, and not many at that. People outside will just laugh and shake our heads at how all these people, including Ted, are lying, including to themselves.

He is just like everyone else. A sinner. I don't think I would value his opinion any more though. I don't think that he should be a preacher or Pres. of evangelicals anymore either.
Although I do believe that if he truly repents and asks for forgiveness, that God will forgive him. But the punishment will still be there. His life or pretense of life is ruined.
A criminal commits a crime and gets say 5 years. He may be really sorry that he committed the crime, but he still has to do the time.

How many nude women do you think they had parade through his room during the "three weeks of intensive counseling"? Or would they use butt-ugly men? How does "de-gaying therapy" work?
I regret that Haggard has run back into the closet rather than come to accept that he was wrong about homosexuals and homosexuality. I hope he will one day see the light and cease being ashamed of who he was born to be.

Let me get this right - he is one of those fundies that says man laying with man is an abomination. He layed(?) with a man but its OK cause he didn't really mean to? he accidentally paid a male prostitute to **** and 'oopsy I know its against everything I tell you to do but oh well I'm only homo, sorry I mean human.'

Homosexuality is not a disease. It is a choice that he had made. Who knows he may be Bi-Sexual. Running away from his home from town to town is not going to change his situation. He can't run from what he choose to do in the past.
