manage it efficiently and pay more then the minimum payment for 6 months or so, then call them and ask for an increase they will gladly give it to you.

If you pay the card off, or make more than the minimum payment each month, they will increase it.
I never requested an increase and they raised mine.

Keep paying on-time. I opened an account with them for the same limit and a year and a half later they raised it to $10,000 in just one month.
