Yes, I am seeing a dr but need to have testing done still. I am just curious if anyone might have some idea. Urine sample are sent to the lab and come back no growth but there is clearly an infection and blood in my urine. Any ideas?

29 years old, sexually active, always shower after sex, take cranberry pills daily, wipe front to back, empty bladder completely when going to the bathroom. Urine cultures show no growth of bacteria

I don't know if this will help you....but since there's a chance it will I thought I'd mention it.....

I used to have frequent UTIs and I tried all kinds of things...finally I read that when you urinate, you should always make sure you completely empty your bladder....after I started doing that, I haven't had another since....apparently I had gotten into the bad habit of rushing in the bathroom....

they say the problem isn't bacteria getting into the bladder (like during sex), but the problem is if it stays there and starts to multiply.....as long as you are able to flush it out, it should be okay..

i was told when i was pregnant (and suffering from one) that it has to do with my general health. and i was anemic and not getting enough water. but i've never had blood in my urine. just be patient. did your doc give you some idea what you could be experiencing? go the site below, you might have kidney stones.
