Hey guys, I am growing a potato plant. I placed a potato in a clear vase and noticed white/cloudy water; did a water change and the next day it was white and cloudy again. Is this normal?

If not, how do I go about fixing it.

Usually white cloudy water means that there is air in the water and there is nothing to worry about.

The white, cloudy water could be do to microbial growth in the surrounding water, or to starch being leached out of the potato.

Take a drop of the water and check it out under a microscope to see what's in the water. Or take some of the cloudy water, add a few drops of iodine to it. If it turns blue, the water contains starch.
