Christians give a LOT of reasons why they think people do not follow their faith. Some are indeed bizarre. What is the craziest reason you have seen them give?
Just today I have seen:
some people are plain ignorant.
some are in denial
some are stubborn
some are dumb
they don't want to think that there's a punishment for our sins
they don't want a higher authority who tells them what to do
they just want to live life and not be a goody-two shoes like they think christians are.
Some cannot because they have never seen unconditional love in action.
Some are confused as to the source of evil in the world
Some love darkness more than light and need to fall to the bottom of society before they reach up for help
Some are indoctrinated in the perversity of false idols
So far the "never seen unconditional love" one gets my vote as most nonsensical.

Rose Within - they are all untrue. I have a very full deck, but thanks.
Mikearion - no resentment towards Christians. I just get amazed sometimes by how many things they can make up to 'justify' something they know nothing about
me - no bashing. I find the 'reasons' to be absurd, that's all. I do not knock anyone's beliefs. My religion is actually quite tolerant. I think you may be the immature one, but I have a great deal of fun, thanks!
Nozi - I very much believe in God. Just not the Christian idea of God. But I get those comments all the time because I believe in the 'wrong' God.

Darryl L - I am not a Christian nor would I want to be. Obviously we do not think we are false. But you go on discriminating if you believe that's how Jesus would act.

You should say some Christians. That's like me saying Atheists hate Christians. You shouldn't generalize people like that. If you don't believe in God...that is your choice. And I respect that and hope you respect the fact that I do believe in Him.
I don't care about your beliefs...as a Christian I would pray for you, but it doesn't mean I wouldn't be a friend of yours. If you were a cool person we'd hang out! And believe me I wouldn't try to convert you, or try to come off all righteous.

What do you know? You just stated in your answer to another question that your church marries homosexuals. Any church that does not lead homosexuals to repent of their abominable lifestyle and live according to the standards of God is not preaching or teaching the things of Jesus Christ or of God. If your church marries homosexuals, then it will be judged with every other false church when Christ comes back in power and glory to judge and wage war. A church MUST preach repentance of sin for salvation, or it is no Christian church. I fully invite you to E-mail me concerning this.

It's ok if you don't want to be a Christian. Just move on with your life and don't worry about it. And that's coming from a Christian. It sounds like you have a lot of resentment towards Christian but we don't wish you any harm. And those that do I would question their faith. God gave us all a free will and certainly you are free to exercise yours like the rest of us.
Peace, Mike

I'd have to agree with you on your choice for 'most bizarre'; the ones that annoy me the most are the ignorance/in denial ones.

"They don't want to have to change their lifestyle to serve God."
Yeah, cuz those atheists are all just a bunch of wild and crazy vigilantes and criminals.
One I saw was "They are afraid of love."
Come on people, seriously.

This is just a Christian bash which reveals alot about your personal character ... you find it amusing to mock others beliefs. You are very immature and must lead a pathetically lonely existence as I can't imagine fun and laughter following you around.

The stupidest attempt to convert someone would be: "You're going to hell for not believing, and you can only be saved by believing in God."

Bizarre? "They haven't read the Bible"
One big real reason (Biblically speaking)?
They would rather control their own lives and destinies.
I personally prefer to let the creator of the universe and savior of mankind help me along my difficult journey on this earth

Rebellion. Atheists are rebelling against God, in league with Satan, because they don't want to be responsible. Wow.
