I don't cut off the crust, but I have a real problem with the texture of the bottom crust. The top crust is fine, so I'll eat my entire sandwich and leave the bottom crust behind.

Well personally I cut off the crust because I don't like the taste. It shouldn't be about any of the superstitions such as "you will get curly hair" but I simply don't eat the crust because I have grown up not liking the taste of it.

of course the crust has different texture and flavor.. it has been cooked differently than the interior.
I guess some people don't like it... i think they're silly.

Just a habit I suppose...I sometimes do it just because. Of course, others could be tasting something that you might not be.
The best answer I could give you is that it's just a habit or a preference.

texture.
I don't like the bottom crust either.
It is ,.. hmm... crumbier... errr flakier...
The rest of the bread (interior and top crust) are of a smoother texture and don't fall apart when I bite into them.
The bottom crust does, it crumbs off and flankys off. I don't like eating it cause of that. :)

I don't like them. It's not harming anyone when we exercise our personal preferences. We are allowed to be different!
