The nhs has received so much money lately and it is still short of cash!!, I am sorry to say but their are too many tossing it off and been idle, it can't go on forever and will pull it's self apart eventually in 40 years time. It is like most british companies (rover, the railways) not very good!!!

It wouldn't surprise me! My mother has been failed miserably by the NHS. I would rather pay something towards it than put up with the Sh*te 'service' that it provides at the moment! I don't doubt that the staff work very hard and this is no criticism of them as I am sure they do a brilliant job! What I am sniping at is the lack of equipment, beds, staff and ridiculous waiting times.... and hygiene!

The media only ever tell you the bad news. The NHS has lots of money and lots of good and competent staff. It just will never be so good as you would like it to be, but it will jog along and most patients will be satisfied.

Yes it would seem so, they are always closing hospitals, laying off staff etc., while doctor's salaries and numbers of admin staff soar. Eventually it will become only a service for treating symptoms of old age, and for treating fat/smoking people on benefit while much of the hard-working population who are on fairly low incomes won't be able to afford health insurance. Just like our dental system, and USA health system.

i think it allready has fallen apart, but hope it's not to late to try and something about it, i wish they would put more into the nhs care rather than pushing policies and keeping pen pushers in a job

No one really knows this for sure, but I bet if you keep watching the news you will learn more. I myself haven't heard about this and if it really were that high of a possibility I think a bigger deal would be made out of this.

No of course not. You see only a few are complaining and forgot what it was like 10 years ago. The majority are fairly satisfied. "You cannot please everybody all the time..............." a Famous US president said it. He is right!
