How do you separate the plasma from the rest of the blood sample? Talking about bloodchem here...?

you have to put it in the centriguge, it pushes all of te cellular material to the bottom and leaves only the dissolved chemicals and the plasma

centrifugation will pellet all the cells and platelets etc leaving the serum as a straw coloured liquid.
