I have a jojoba hot oil treatment that I haven't used. I think it's time for me to use it but I don't want to have to wet my hair b/c It takes me forever to get it straight and flat to my liking. So if I used the hot oil as just regular styling oil (without getting my hair wet) would that be just as or close to effective. IS is dangerous to my hair. What will happen? Don't answer if you don't know for sure.

Hey girl.
I used the jojoba hot oil treatment before too. You don't have to wet your hair to apply it, but you may after it's been on (depending on the brand and type) for a while and after you sit under a dryer.

But the good news is, the jojoba oil helps the damaged hair, so it lays down better after it's been blow dryed. And you can tie it down or wrap it up for just a few minutes after, and it will look so healty and shiny.

Read the directions, and go by those. The water shouldn't hurt it though.

Hope this helped and that your hair turns out like you want!

The evil troll is an idiot, um, if I were you I'd not use the hot oil treatment until the next time I washed my hair, because if there is anything besides oil in it, like any chemicals normally washed out I wouldn't want it sitting on my hair for 3 days to a week, depending on how often you wash your hair. Instead, just use a warmed up kitchen oil, my favorite one is Almond oil. It's light and smells kinda nice and there are no worries.
