This world would be good to live in if everyone would learn to have more love in them. Sometimes we cant show love because many people do have problems and could use a smile, dont let it discourage you when they bark back at you, little do you know what gift you gave today with a smile. Might stop someone from killing themselves, wont want to try drugs, will beleive in hope, and trust in having some faith. We hurt our own people day and night by thinking we are better sometimes, that is just not a proven fact. This world is full of negative, and just off the looney wagon! For our own good and a safer & respectable tomorrow, learn to act right, and lets all stop acting like we dont care! As if we were created to act like animals? Oh yeah the difference money, power, middle, low class. Get over it! Think about the youth our tomorrow is our youth, so adults need to be aware of the damage done to todays youth. We could prevent so much by acting like respectable citizens...Thank You!

Well, parents and teachers need to start disciplining their kids again and teach them some social skills. When a kid get something in a store, they need to learn to say thank you. Always think would I liked to be treated that way, if no, change you attitude.
Kids need families to come home too, instead of keys to open the door to their TV or computer waiting for their parents to get home.

Well, I'm not sure what your rant is all about. But I will answer your initial question.

People whom work in customer service do not have good skills because they are not trained properly by the company they are working for. Or, they just have been yelled and disrespected by another customer. As much as you say, "just ignore" those people, it's tough. Imagine a stranger, getting in your face about a rule or policy that a company has established and you are just following the rules for. Makes you feel pretty low about yourself and mad at yourself and the world around you.

In addition, many customer service workers make minimum wage, work very long hours without proper breaks and do not have proper medical insurance.

Do you blame them for being disgruntled? Why don't people try being nicer to the people working behind the counter, rather then the people in line with them.

I don't know whether this is really a questions or a speech. Even though I agree with most of what you are saying. To answer the question part - people are not taught any manners for the most part. And they are too self-centered. They only care about what they want. Don't even think about anyone else. It's how they were raised. They should know better if they are adults though.

Your rant really doesn't seem to pertain to your question...

I completely agree with the first poster!
