Is it true that taking Pedialyte each day is beneficial as a vitamin?

An elderly woman told me that her doctor recommended a daily dose of Pedialyte and that it is a great booster, and he takes it daily too?????

no! it doesn't have any vitamins. it's for dehydration. it has electrolytes to balance out the fluid loss. usually when little kids have fever or diarrhea they take it because replaces the fluids and absorbs better than plain water.

It contains no vitamins, just water, sugar and salts.
