OK.... I work for SBC/ATT in the EAST...CT to be exact...OK....I better get best answer for this one...HAHA..
OK call sbc/att in Texas...tell them you want your # nonpublished...approx. $ 3.35 per month, also tell them you want caller id blocking so that your # doesn't show up on the other's caller id..however SBC/ATT offers a product called Privacy manager, most have it as part of there bundle package...it blcoks out #'s that come up on ones's cid as blocked, unknown, private...etc...it then gives 3 options, annoucne who's calling, unblock # or hang up...a prompt will come on and you can record what ever you want the person ur calling to hear...if u want them to know it's you then say your name. the caller will get a message that says....you have a call from......... and then the caller and accept or deny the call. much like a collect call... But otherwise *67 is your best option. any more ?'s email me

Yes, if you call the phone company, they can put a CID block on all your outgoing calls. If you needed your CID info to show up (like when calling someone that doesn't accept blocked calls) you can dial *85 to show your information just for that one call.

if you call up the phone company that you have service with, ask them to set your caller ID preference to "private" and the word "private caller" will appear every time you call someone.
