You can't really start fresh...you need to fix your debt. I would just keep paying it until you pay it off.
Go to orchardbank.com and get an orchard cc because they give really low credit limits to people with bad debt. If you keep up the payments that is one positive on your credit report!
Don't do debt consolidation. It will show on your credit report. When companies review your credit report they see that you went through a debt consolidation company- that shows them you weren't able to pay your debt on your own. THat is a bad sign!

You could move to a new country and rebuild your credit from the begining. Your debts will never go away but it could be a start if it is THAT bad.
Otherwise I would contact all creditors and try to work something out with them. Debt consolidation can help but it can also be bad if you don't alter your money habits. A good idea would be credit/financial counselling to work out your issues and assist with a realistic budget to stick to.

Debt consolidation might be the answer. I've come accross this website and they helped me as I was having the same problem. Not only they provide free advice, they shop around on your behalf and come up with 10 offers in your area. All you do is compare and chose the best: the one that saves you more money. They are loan and mortgage experts. Go to http://mortgage.yeyeyup.com/form.html

Well first of all, good for you.
There are free councellors that you can go to...I am sure you can look in your local phone book, usually it is the state that sponsers the services (see the state still wants your money so they want yo out of debt)...I had to go once and it really helped me...haven't been in debt since...good luck...it does get better...they help arrange payment plans for the debt you have..

Debt consolidation and counseling to find out why you overspend. Both are going to cost you.
