I think Phoenix is on to something here. But my contention is that global warming is the cause celebre of all those who have too much time on their hands. Have you ever wondered what a remarkable leap humanity has made where a majority of people have so much to eat that obesity is a problem? What a fantastic yardstick of progress.
Global warming is a 'problem' for people who are borrowing trouble. Those who are not borrowing trouble are using it as a way to push a leftist ideology and thus make everyone miserable (except, of course, the millionaire Hollywood types, etc. who will remain unaffected by their tragic policy agendas and the financial ruin it will cause the world).

Hi,
I can not infatically answer that this site does not offer proof of global warming as I did not read the entire site but the link you provided which gives a breif and incomplete summary of the theory of disruptive magnetic polarity shifts does not provide evidence for or suggest a relation to global warming.
The theory of shifting mangnetic polarity has, at ths point been mathmatically modeled and to date, while there have been some modifications to the model, appears via evidences achived through resonance testing at known and dated disruptive sites such as volanic eruptions, appears to be correctly replicatable.
Time will tell, but if the theory is correct, it would account for various changes in weather pattern around the earth. It may account for various hydrological shifts such as current and water temperature changes that can have catastrophic effects on the ecological system. It can even lend reason to weather abnormailities in isolated locations but, currently, if anything it would not confirm but dispute gloabl warming theories. It may account for isolated warming and with further modeling may assists in predicting what is suspected to become a increasingly volital sphere with the eventual fragmentation of polarity.
It is currently expected that in 130 - 270 years depending on the rate of acceloration of polarity shift, the poles as we know them will disapear as the core of the earth continues to slow its rotation. If the model is correct then there will be a period of time when there wil not be an absence of poles but there will be multiple points of polarity of differing strength (simmilar to what is currently experienced in the "Burmuda Triangle") over another period of time the core rotation will accutally reverse causing a filip of sorts to the overall polarity and eventually it will restbilize in a somewhat reversed polarity to what we have historically known.
This reversal is crrently assumed to have happend on the earth twice previously but never in recent history.
During this time there is expected to be violently disruptive environmental patterns. These may include warming trends in some areas and cooling trends in others. If the model is correct, it will be exteem enough to make certian currently desirable locations inhabitable at least without some enviromental modification scheme that is not presently techologically feasable.
Global warming assumes an overall enviromental increase of temperature. If the magnetic polarity shift theory is correct, the effect of polarity distuption will be measurable and become a much greater concern for the people of the earth than global warming long before the effects of global warming, if there really any, become a major caytelist for change in human behavior.
Several years ago Nova did an excellent segmet on the theory of magnetic polarity disruption. I don't remember what it was called but it was the best work I have saw that demonstrated to the general public the theory and research ongoing in this area.

I did not make it to global warming, but the part about the Earth's magnetic field is comical. The inherrent flaw in this line of thinking is that the shrinking occurs in linear terms. This would be similar to watching the temperature drop 2 degrees in a hour, and surmize that it must have been a couple of thousand degrees hotter only last year. Give up. This 'creation science' is nothing but bad science.

Sorry to be so blunt but if you lived where I do you would have to agree that global warming is a bunch of crap. Try living in 20 below weather for even a day and then see if you don't get mobbed while preaching your global warming garbage! (sorry if this came on a bit strong but it is freezing here!)

Ummm ... basically ... no.
The model presented tries to compare the reversal of the magnetic poles of the sun to those of the Earth. This is a tragic error to start with. The Sun is not a solid body, and is fueled by intense nuclear fusion. The Earth is a solid body with a liquid metal core, at much cooler temperatures, and therefore, muc less energetic than the sun. The model compares apples to potato chips.
Bad junk science at its' best.

No it doesn't. All it shows is a poor attempt at proving a young earth based on a lack of knowledge and understanding. There is evidence that over millions of years the poles have flipped, and that we may be approaching another one now, where the north pole will become the south, and visa versa. I suggest you do some better research.

I didn't look at the site because global warming is a farce. Why was everybody complaining about global warming when it was 70 in our state, but nobody is complaining when it is -5.

I would be more likely to get my scientific info from the FSM website than anything that's titled "Creation Evidence".
It's the pirates, anyway. Ever since the number of pirates has dropped, the earth's temperature has steadily increased.

It has already been scientifically proven that the cause is the decline in pirates.
