William, those who do not believe in God have never experienced God, not in a way that makes sense to them. Ask a fish about water. He can tell you lots about things in the water, but water itself is invisible. Yet, remove the fish from water, and he gets the idea pretty well.
I have had two direct experiences with God. I had no faith. Faith is irrational, not based on proof. I needed direct experience. God gave me that. You know what? I really miss those two timeless times I had. I do not say that is for everyone just what happened to me. I know the reality of God. I did not get it through books or priests or preachers.
BTW, folks who do not believe in God usually do not believe in the Devil either.

I thought so, really believed so, from the ages of 19 to about 36, but now I'm convinced otherwise, and I've had no reason to change my mind in the last sixteen years. There are sincere thoughtful people who stand on both sides of this. (and idiots: you can't only judge the thing on the outspoken uninformed, fascinating though they can be.) I regretted leaving Christianity in social terms, as I was part of a community with many friends. I lost the first and most of the second. But I had to go where (as I understood it, to the best that I could research), the truth was. "I have searched over the grounds of my belief, and if wife and child and name and fame were all to be lost to me one after the other as the penalty, still I will not lie." T H Huxley, speaking of his lack of belief in an afterlife, even after the very recent death of his young son.

Oh, yea, yelling at me is going to make me want to believe that you have found the peace of God...
I believe God is real, some people don't - they believe in other things which I may see as part of God - they don't (ie, they believe the sun will rise because of the formation of the earth and the sun - I believe that God arranged the formation of the earth and the sun). Why is it so important to you and to others that everyone believe as you do?
I am a Christian and would much rather be in the company of loving, caring atheists than a bunch of "my way or the highway" Christians. Jesus (the Savior or a smart man with good advice depending upon your beliefs) accepted everyone where they were... why can't we all - no matter your religious belief or non-belief learn from that?

You accept that the beauty and complexity of nature are proof that a supernatural being created it all according to a master plan. That answer may have been acceptable 2,000 years ago, when humans had neither the knowledge or the tools to investigate and begin to understand how the universe came to be, but it's a decidedly anti-intellectual approach in the 21st century.
In general, those who do not believe in God also do not believe in the Devil.

Why don't you believe the cosmos was created by a giant invisible spaghetti monster? You wanna see proof? It's the same as your proof for God. if anyone had endeavored to instruct you in critical thinking, you would know that what you are calling proof proves nothing.
And we atheists don't actually believe theists are "brain dead idiots", as below, but "brain dead idiots" is definitely more a subset of theism than of atheism since the former ensrhines unmerited belief as virtuous and the latter enshrines empiricism and critical thinking, neither of which have any value to the idiot.

The world is not proof of a God existing. That's such a dumb idea and I hate it when people say that.
I also really hate it when people think that if you don't believe in God, then it must me that you believe in the devil.
Its people like you, are the reason why our country's I.Q. is depreciating.

Why would I believe in the devil if I don't believe in god?
Do you realize that these questions only enforce atheist belief that theists are brain-dead idiots?
Why would I want to become a brain-dead idiot?

You are wasting your capital letters, they have no effect on me. You are some kind of mean-spirited child to believe in this stuff.

You need to come up with something a little more persuasive than "just look around you!" if you want to convert people.
