No. The Bible said there would always be poor people. Jesus made it clear when Mary annointed Him.

Very interesting question. As a former Christian I would say that Jesus already answered it when being ridiculed for wasting perfume
7The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want.
I agree that there will always be poor. That is a solution that will forever be unsolved. "I think that Jesus did say to give everything you have to the poor and follow me." When asked by a rich young man how to become a disciple. So I guess you have a point. Are Christians giving everything they have to the poor and trusting in Jesus for income? Or is that one of the many commands in the Bible that doesn't apply today?

No, what has one got to do with another? Jesus instructed us to spead the gospel, which we do and to love others, which we do. He didn't say stop watching TV because someone is poor and can't eat. We are not responsible for the fate of all the poor folks. We help were we can and Christians do a lot of that. AGAIN, what do you do to help the poor? When Jesus spoke to the Rich young man saying to give away all your money to the poor. He was directing that to that man only because that man loved his money more than Christ. That is not a command to all generations of Christians to follow.

It depends. If those who can't eat are your own children, then yes you are a sinner. But if it is someone outside of your responsibility then no.

Uh no. I give to charity and support many people everytime they take my taxes out of my paycheck. Besides my TV would not make a very good meal, it's too small!!!! You would be even more hungry than you were before.

When I buy a TV that employs and feeds everyone that builds, distributes, sells and repairs the TV. You offer a false choice.
