me and this guy have been friends for a year....and i like him and i told him but he said it was best to stay friends....the weird thing about it is that everytime i start to forget him he comes back around and we are better friends....since the beginning i thought we wouldve been together.....so what should i do?

If he would want you to be more than friends, he would have asked you to be his girl.. but it is obivious he only likes you as a friend and nothing more. Now if any girl puts out on purpose, she doesn't gain anything, but loses respect for herself, especially when she is being told they only want to be friends. Almost any guy would take the bait in the heat of the moment.. but afterwards he wont' feel any different , or respect you more. As a matter of fact it would make things akward, and futhur distance your once respected friendship, so dont do that...
Accept the friendship for what it is, and look for a love else where.

I would just let it go. Sometimes when you give it time and space it works out alot better. He might be having some things going on in his life and he doesnt want you to get mixed up in it. I would just say be friends sometimes best friends can lead to great relationships in the long run but right now I wouldnt push my luck on this. If he wants to be friends then you should respect his feelings.
