I sit at a desk for 8-9 hrs a day. My right hamstring will start hurting early in the morning and last all day. When I get home its fine. The pain is a constant throbbing pain with some shooting pain into the right buttocks. When I stretch my leg is feels really good. If I walk or run it doesn’t hurt either, just when I sit for several hours or more at work. I have had the pain for months.

Yes I know I should go to the doctor, and I am. I am just wondering if anyone else has had something similar and what a doctor told you.

Hit the library - The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies will show you how to deal with muscle problems, pain and referred pain. There are trigger points (knots in the fibers) in your muscles, they can be causing pain from your back as well as you quads. To get rid of them apply pressure where it hurts (for a short time) slowly getting the knots to loosen up. You may not know you hurt in the places it is coming from unless it is touched, then you will know where by how sore it is.
