take mama and the pups to the vet they should have something to get rid of the fleas for all of them..i know the stuff at the stores isn't safe for the newborns you have so you do NEED to take them to the vet to get this cleared up, an infestation of fleas can easily kill newborn pups.

This is something you should call your vet about. He may want you to bring in the mom and puppies, and they can treat them for fleas at the vet clinic, while you go and make sure the home is flea free.
You need to also address this with the groomer - call them up and explain that after taking her home from them, you have found fleas on her and now the fleas are on the puppies as well. Ask them whether they are going to cover your costs for vet treatment since the fleas infested her while she was in their care. If they refuse, document all dealings you have with them (phone calls, letters, etc.) and sue them in small claims court for the cost of the vet bills.
Lastly, why anyone would take a dog to the groomer immediately before (or immediately after) giving birth to new puppies is beyond me. No matter how clean your groomers' are, there's always a chance of your dog getting sick with kennel cough or anything else there because of the amount of dogs they get in each day.

I am a groomer, & I have never seen so many insane, unhelpful answers. How are you so sure your dog didn't have fleas before she went to the groomer? Did you thoroughly brush her out? If you didn't, you have no idea. I had a problem with my own 2 dogs getting fleas (squirrels) 2 years ago, but because they weren't in grooming crates, no client ever reported a problem. A fleas can jump 15 feet, so you're playing the odds.
The most environmentally sound solution is to wash mom (& even babies) in undiluted dishwashing liquid, & you can pick the fleas off (they'll be stunned. While you're doing that, you are going to bleach the bedding & put an ultraviolet lamp on the litter box. That may mean purchasing this from a hardware store. Pinesol is toxic---unless you want to cause liver damage, don't do it.
Fleas are a pain in the neck, & spread tapeworm, so, after everyone is weaned, you can do a worming if necessary & put Frontline on your *****.
Expensive? Yes---as is choosing to raise a litter of puppies. Goes with the territory.

Flea scientific care is a multi-step technique. a million. Kill Fleas that are on the canines now - For this a flea shampoo could be sufficient. you may advance the effectiveness of the shampoo via blending it with a organic dip designed to kill fleas on canines. 2. Use a flea comb after bathing to do away with any fleas caught in the fur. 3. purchase and use a flea preventative which contain Frontline 4. deal alongside with your place to keep away from fleas infesting the kin and re-infesting the canines

I don't think it would be advisable to put any flea treatment on your dog--especially if the puppies are still nursing. Ask your vet their opinion.
Also, when you send your dog to a groomer you should expect it to come back clean--fleas, IMO, are not a sign of cleanliness! Have a chat with the groomer as well as that is not good business!

Go to the vet! Don't put any flea drops on the mother either. they can transfer to the pups. Most breeders I know don't flea treat any pets while pups are in the house and rely on flea combs for control. You ca't drop the pups till they are older. You need to go to a vet and get thier help. This is serious and can cause anemia fast in pups! You should wash all the bedding asap in bleach and hot water.

You call the groomer and let them know that you had no problem until the dog got home. That is totally unacceptable.
Check with your vet since she is giving the puppies milk she might not be able to take meds until they are weaned, same with using any insecticides.

we use pinesol on all our dogs. it will kill the fleas on them immediately, but it will not stop them from coming back. just pour straight pinesol down their back, rub it in, allow to soak for a moment then rinse off, and bathe as usual. our vet approves of this method, but reminds us its only a temporary fix.. he still recommends buying meds from your vet over buying a product from a store such as walmart because these products usually cause more problems
