Awww...lucky you ! These are really sweet, having some of the good characteristics of Cockers.
The dog is friendly, energetic, and is an ideal urban canine companion. They like cuddling up on the sofa next to their owners, but like to run and play outside. They are active, fearless, and well-balanced in character.
They are also good with children.
It is extremely important to check the medical history when selecting one of these dogs, because the dogs have become extremely popular, and there is a great deal of in-breeding. This can lead to heart problems in the breed.
They originate from the U.S. and Great Britain from 1925, They were bred as companions and are expected to live app. 9-11 years. Their weight range is 13-18 lbs and average height is 13-13 inches.

A well-trained dog makes everyone happy, including his owner. Take a little time training him, and you'll never regret it; you'll always have an obedient dog by your side. Find more https://tr.im/kwQpd
By their nature, dogs are pack animals with a well-defined social order. Through basic training, you need to consistently make sure your puppy understands that you are the leader, not him. So in teaching him the basic rules, you take on the role of pack leader.
To fit into the family circle, your dog must be taught to recognize his name and such commands as come, heel, lie down and sit.

Well to be honest you should of got advice before buying/picking it up.Caviliers are great little dogs, they are affectionate with all ages, easily trained with reward based training, playfull and good with other animals. Its important to check that the breeders has done the recommended health tests on the pups as ckcs are prone to heart problems, ask the breeder to see proof, not only in the pups but the mum and dad and grandparents.Make sure you socilise your pup well aswell from day one of bringing it home.Good luck.

I have a friend with 2 females. They are real sweethearts - very affectionate. I love their little masked faces - hmm, the name Bandit? if you don't already have one?
You do have to be careful about their hearts and eyes. They tend to have problems. Get the puppy checked throughly by a good vet and keep updated. Good Luck

There are 4 colours -
black and tan (my personal fav),
black and white,
Ruby (red)
and Blenheim (as in Blenheim Palace, Churchills' birthplace, red and white)
They are gorgoeus friendly, lively and intelligent little dogs who need firm training as they learn quickly and get bored if not stimulated. Also, will wrap you around their little paw if you let them! Start as you mean to go on - decide what the rules of the house are ie - where he sleeps, where he eats, what time he does these things, and where he goes wee wee, does he go on the furniture and up stairs? stick to them, and start playing with toys (to reduce chewing furniture) crate and toilet training straight away.
They will do obedience schools and agility if you like, no problem.
Never give cooked bones or dehydrated food.
If you need help with names I have loads of nice ones - boy or girl?

hey, my nan has had 2 and they are both completely different, they can suffer with heart trouble though but this is usualy diagnosed quite young and can be treated. they need hair cuts twice a year and lots of attention and playtime and are great family pets. The girls are proper princesses and boys princes, they can sometimes be chewers but nothing a bit of training can stop.
Thet come in three different colours,
blenam
tri-coloured
and black and white.
You have made a good choice in dog and hope it brings you as much love as you give him/her.
P.s They like to eat walm milky porrage for breakfast.

Hopefully, you are buying from a reputable breeder who has tested the parents for all the health problems present in CKCS.
This site is the one to check out, preferably before you,ve bought a puppy.

excellent breed i myself have one she is 9 months old, great with other people although it did take her a while! very eager to please and quick to learn! house trained in just 2 months with the help of puppy pads! and learned all her commands in only 2 weeks!
it may sound cruel but i advise you get a crate for her to go in for when you are out of the house that way you know he/she will be safe and so will your house!
