Ok I want honest answers but dont just tell me i'm crazy please. For valentines day i really have been thinks about getting my fiance name or his initials on my lower back (payed for with his money).... what do you think has anyone else done that or am i insane

It's Valentines day and I hope you didn't go through with the tat, the answer is no that is something you absolutely do not want to do. A tat will DOOM your relationship!

i did that...i got my ex-husband's name tattooed on my leg about a few months after we were married and, when i went to get the tattoo, the tattoo guy looks at me and says ... you do know that you will doom your marriage if you do this right. are you really sure you want his name on you. Well I said yes like an idiot and about 6 months later we separated got a divorce soon after and i have had to live with his name on me for almost 10 years. I am now remarried to a different man and it was so ugly and stood out like a sore thumb. People would ask who's name I had on my leg. It was sort of embarrassing. I now have it covered but it is hard to find another artist that will cover a tattoo up that has been done by another tattoo artist. The tattoo artist that put it on me no longer did tattoos, so I had a difficult time getting it covered.
In my opinion, if I were you I would never get someone else's name tattooed on you, except for your children's name. I have both of my son's names tattooed on my arm and I don't and will never regret that because they are my babies and will be with me forever, both physically and mentally

Listen, about 97% of all people what do that end up taking it off. That is a bad choice. Get like a Chinese symbol that means love or something for him. That way in the long run you really don't have someone's name on you if by some off the wall reason it was not to work out between you guys.

I think that getting someones initials tattooed on your body is crazy. What happens if the two of u don't last forever and then u are stuck with this persons initials on your body forever. Its something u should really think about for a while. My personal opinion is that the only names i would EVER tattoo on my body are those of my children

I had a friend who would get her significant others name tattooed on her. After 6 years, she had 8 different names on her body. This prompted me to ask her the same question I am about to ask you: Do you need his name on you so that you will not forget it or do you consider yourself as some type of human address book. Anything that you get permanently placed on your body should be something you reverence, not some guy who may not be your boyfriend next year or next month for that matter. Think this over long and hard.

I think it is a bad idea! You get his name tattooed on you and you break up, what then, you walk around with his name tattooed for life on your back (unless you have it removed, ouch) What will the next guy think? If you are dead set on doing it have it done in Chinese letters so if it doesn't work you can make the meaning of it

Well i wouldn't say that your crazy b/c you are in love, b/c i've been in love too and i was going to do the same thing and then we ended up splitting!! not that, that will happen to you maybe you just need to give it a little bit more thought.if you feel that it is right and you really want to then go for it.

hi ,it seems that you are madly in love with him but for my point of view it does not matter who is paying but tha acts itself is undone for a single reason if for any reasons god forbid you break up and already have his initials tattoued you will have them all your life and this will make you mad,sad and insane don't do it try something more creative and more romantic.

I think that it is a bad idea! unless he really loves you and never treats you like your nothing, and unless you know that you are going to be with him forever!! because if you break up there is no way of getting the tatto off

I don't see the big deal. You know how many people are walking around here with significant others and ex's names, initials, ect tattooed on them?!!!!!!!
