I think that we've all read the article about what kyle petty did in his situation, but in my opinion its better for him to stay with DEI for him personally. He is comfortable with the staff, people look up to him and listen to him there, and DEI's mile and a half track setups have gotten a lot better. So basically he can go and experiment somewhere else and work through all of the communication issues that has taken him years to develope at DEI or he can stick with a program that's focused on getting him better every year. I just think that the payout for switching to a new team wont happen instantly.

Dale Jr should switch teams. Teresa is running DEI into the ground. She does not have anyones best interest in mind except hers. She is greedy, and only cares about money, why else would she make some record whoever the PRESIDENT! She knows nothing about racing, I dont care who her father is. Junior ALWAYS has a ride at RCR, and I think he knows that. If he leaves DEI, then Richard should be where he goes. It wouldnt fit anywheres else.

I think he should take Richard Childress up on his offer, since Teresa doesn't show him any respect. I don't feel he has a real chance at a championship with DEI but he definitely would with RCR. Also it would be absolutely huge for his popularity(as if that can get any bigger). By the way, I am not a big Dale, Jr. fan so I am looking at this objectively. (I am a Jimmie Johnson fan.)

I was and still am a big fan of Dale, Sr., but I'm now a fan of Dale, Jr. But, Jr. will never fill his dad's shoes no matter who he drives for....not because he's not a good enough driver, but because Nascar keeps changing the rules. Nascar is taking the driver and his abilities out of the car. In 10 years all the cars might as well have a robot driving them. Dale Sr., Buddy Baker,
Richard Petty, Dale Jarret, Sr., Junior Johnson...all these guys and many more didn't get famous by being a good little driver and following everyone around the track and being happy to finish in the top 10. The purpose of any race is to win, not settle for 2nd or 5th or 10th. If any of these guys started their racing career now they would do any better than Mears or Kyle Petty.
Nascar is taking the word 'race' out of the sport.

This is an easy descision for me. I am a HUGE Dale jr fan, and I think we all know what could happen if he goes to RCR. First of all, if he leaves, DEI would fall apart, big time. Dale jr is DEI I just don't see why he would leave. I also don't think he would do very good at RCR. Yeah Harvick and Burton made the chase last year but they haven't had other cars in RCR for a while. It would take years for somrthing to happen. Dale Earnhardt Jr. should stay in DEI. DEI stands for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated. If he left there would only be that teresa earnhardt, his step mom. It would NOT be good.

I think he should leave DEI. As with any business, it is sometimes just too hard to work with family. It will become too much of a distraction while he is driving. Isn't that why they switched teams with Michael back in '05? Because he couldn't get along with Tony Eury (his cousin)? Although he and Tony seem to have a better relationship now, it doesn't seem to me that he and Theresa will ever be on the same page. I would love to see him at another team and prove that he is a good driver, not just DEI's golden boy.

he should leave and become his own man much like Hank Williams Jr. He will never live up to the expectations the fans have of him at DEI. Should he stay or leave he should say it loud and say it often I aint Dale and I am not here to carry on the legend of the #3, I am here to be my own person and do things my way. Anything else and he will forever live under the dark blanket of his dad.

I think that Dale should try to hook up with Childress. Thats a proven team and has been for years. Dale is having too many off track problems with his step-momma right now and I think that he has lost focus because of it. Childress would put him a winnwer and he would start winning races other than restrictor plates. After his Daddy was killed, his step Momma has tried to run things but it seems she had no idea and it also seems that she hasn't hired anyone that knows much. Shame, Dale is good enough to have been a champ by now but has been bogged down by Momma.

I would say leave, With step-mommy run things DEI is going down the drain. She is ruining what Sr. worked hard to build.
If Jr. can get control of whats rightfully his, his brother and sisters. Thats a different story. Of course then he should stay.
But not with Teresa involved.
