Check out "Sweet Beginnings" - it is a program that teaches beekeeping to excons
There is also a non profit, faith based program in Chicago affiliated with the Episcopal Church that aids in housing, support services and employment. Sorry, but can't remember the name right now.

GO out there and do as many applications as you can.. get motivated and focused on what you want to accomplish and slowly but surely you'll get back to society and start being recongnized for the man you are today. Not yesterday, but today! :)
