The Bible is about life, and living it, not a science textbook. What difference does it make if a modern day rabbit doesn't chew the cud? The Bible never claimed to be science only science of the soul. Why don't they ask meaningful, life-situation questions!

I know about what's their names and how they were persecuted. The P. Reformation addressed those issues. I'm also aware of the fundies who don't study the Bible in-depth. But the Bible is more about the 'science' of spiritual things than about the earth. Why don't atheists ask questions about those spiritual things is all I'm asking.

What does it matter if God doesn't know the value of pi?
What does it matter if God thought the sun revolved around the earth?
What does it matter if God thought the moon emitted light?
All of these things mean that "God" is not a god.

~~~ Fruitcake,,,, You are categorically wrong in your contention that "The Bible never claimed to be science,,," You display the extent of your Ignorance by not knowing of Copernicus or Gallileo and why they were persecuted by the Religious Authority of their time hundreds of years ago(this is Basic, Conventional Historical Fact),,, nor the recent contention, and proven by Science that Jesus nor any other Human Being could have carried or dragged his Crucifixion Cross. And since this is not recognized as a Miracle in itself, then it is simply Bogus and another Romanticization of his life, among others.
The Bible claims to be fact. That's worse than claiming to be science. Science just comes in when we really want to know the truth.
Because if you don't believe there is a God...science is all there is to believe in. To find out how "dependable" science is, take a look at what they thought five hundred years ago...or even a year ago. Every day scientists come to realize that their assumptions are wrong. If you would like some more information about what's wrong with science, log on to www.thecreationnetwork.com. You will find it very interesting.
Life is scientific. Any book that speaks about life is open to scientific query. Since the bible was written by humans then it is subject to query by other humans.
Your point is well taken but I think you will find it is the believers attempting to prop up their faith with science that ask the scientific "questions"....and invariably get it wrong...
it's the mentality difference.
Atheists are logical. don't think outside the box, or I guess book in this case. If you can't relate science to it, then it's just absured.
Sho_nuff. I'm sure God knows more about Pi than you do. HE created the whole d*mned theory.
