If according to christians, god made everything, and it was good, then why can't I smoke weed?

You can't smoke weed because it's illegal. Man's government has made it illegal. God instructs us in Romans 13:1-7 that we should submit to the authorities that govern us.

And yes, the bible says that God made everything but it does not say that everything in the world is good. The bible says that God can USE all things for good, not that all things ARE good.

When Adam sinned, he invited evil to the world. That evil (sin) has caused things that were created good by God to become twisted and peverted. Weed may have been for a good purpose at one time. But just as man has taken things like alcohol and sex and made them into things that can enslave us and be perverted, man has done the same with plants, such as your "weed". The good purpose that God has designed for things has been distorted by sin and by man's desires.

And finally, the bible tells us that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. That is, if you choose, you can invite God's Holy Spirit to be inside of you, part of you. So for that reason, you should care for it and respect it. You should know by now that smoking (of ANY kind) is harmful and causes disease. That would not be a respectful way to treat God's house.

in other words, i agree.. but it's not that you can't smoke weed, its just that you may not... that whole law thing.

there's this TV show called "bullshit" they have a whole episode on drug legalities, and you can also look up the whole reason marijuana became illegal in the first place, thats, if you want to get really really angry.

if you don't want to get really really angry, just smoke a joint, eat a twinkie, and go to bed.

God made everything good but it is man who has done wrong with things. Illegal drugs and the abuse of drugs or alcohol are wrong because they hurt our bodies and our normal behavior making it easier to give into temptaion.

2291 The use of drugs inflicts very grave damage on human health and life. Their use, except on strictly therapeutic grounds, is a grave offense. Clandestine production of and trafficking in drugs are scandalous practices. They constitute direct co-operation in evil, since they encourage people to practices gravely contrary to the moral law.
