~~~ tee,,,,Seriously,,, "Lamb of God",,,"Sacrificial Lamb" ,,,,"Sheperding Sheep",,, are ALL symbolic references to Zodiac and the House of Aries. The "Lamb" is sacrificed as Aries is waning in it's influence and Pisces is about enter it's Period of Influence, and hence we have now evolved from the sacrifical Bull (House of Taurus) as shown in India(sacred cows) and Egypt(old testament), through The Aries Age, entering the time of Pisces and thus the reference in The Christian Motif of the Fish Element,,, we are now on the cusp of The Aquarian Age of it 2,000+ years of Influence. Watch out for rising waters on this one. Howaboutdat? You learned something and you thought you were just making a stupid criticism of "religious types" . FYI; I'm not an astrologer, sheep or religious type.
Sheep are very humble and they listen and follow their Shepperd's voice at all times. A man went up to some sheep one time and tried to fool them by acting like their Shepperd but they did not listen and follow. But when the sheep recognized the voice of their Shepperd they listened and followed. Jesus said his true sheep would hear his voice and follow.
Because we're baaaaad?
Okay, seriously, we're called sheep because we follow the Good Shepherd, Jesus the Christ. True Christians are not mindless bots; we actually think a lot about how to interpret scripture correctly, and about what it means to live a good life.
Granted, many people who claim to be Christians--fundamentalists and the like--do mindlessly follow whatever their leaders tell them. These people, however, are not actually Christians.
Atheists don't call them "sheep", we call them _sheeple_.
Anyway, sheep are a lot like the religious: they get fleeced, flucked, and slaughtered, and they never do anything without someone telling them to. Who wants to live like that?
They call themselves that, ironically. Mindless herd animals. Part of the flock that needs to be shepherded because they have no survival skills on their own. I can't think of a worse insult, and yet they came up with this one on their own. It boggles the mind.
