yes - if you have a sore throat - they will still be able to tell. Just let them know when you last took the ibuprofin so that they consider that in their diagnosis. The most it will probably affect is if you have a fever.

Yes, by knowing your symptoms they can still diagnose you. It could very likely be timing - your body has created enough antibodies to fight whatever you have/had and taking an ibuprofen only enhanced that. Should they not see any lingering signs of your symptoms, they may just send you home. Please understand that if you truly are suffering from an illness - the ibuprofen would not make it 'disappear' temporarily. It's just made you temporarily feel better.

Be sure to let your doctor know exactly what medicine and how much you've taken as well to aide him in deciding a proper prescription for you should you need one.

Yes. Your pain will be relieved and your fever will be reduced, but they can still see the stuff going on in your ears, nose and throat. They are used to people taking medication, so they will know what to do.

Yep. Tell the doc what you took and in what dosage and when. Then tell the doc what caused you to take it and how long you have had it. Don't worry about taking something to help with the symptoms. The doc is expecting you to help yourself on this.

Yeah.. But the swelling may not be as visible in your throat. He can still do a strep culture on it though.. the medicine shouldn't alter that.
