YES! even if your from an EU country...if you are not..What makes you think you can just move there ?

Yes, I lived there for awhile. You need a passport and you need to arrange (ahead of time) a job and a work visa. It is very hard to do on your own. I had a hard time with a job waiting for me. You have to prove that it helps Ireland to hire you over a native-Irishman. Although if you are planning on waiting tables or bartending they make a nice gesture of supporting illegal American immigrants in Dublin, much like the Americans reciprocate in Irish bars arond the country. I had a visa, but no one cared. They paid in cash with no employment records... Good luck

You need a passport to leave or enter any country for any reason.
