Holistic healthcare is taking into account the whole person, body, mind and spirit. It originated in Asia and also Native Americans probably practice it as well. It's knowing the connection between mind and body and how, if you're experiencing stress, you can lower your immune system and contract and illness. Most holistic practitioners use herbal remedies, or homeopathic ones and now there are even home businesses that are hooked up with companies that use elements of the earth to create a more healthy system.

Holistic Health care holds the beleif that the body can heal anything itself, if only given the right tools. (If you are not past the point of no return, that is, if you are about to die.) Holistic Health care has seen my mother cured of thyroid difficulty, high blood pressure and ostioperosis. And my father has lost 160 pounds, and is at his ideal body weight. Treatment ranges from simple change in diet and exersize (I recommend organic food) to chinese medicine (acupuncture, acupressure) to contemporary medicine that does not involve drugs or surgury (Massage, chiropractics). Basically, it is the beleif that health concerns and even diseases can be cured with natural alternatives to drugs and surgery. (Without the harmful side effects!) I recommend reading Kevin Trudeau's "Natural Cures They Don't Want You To Know About".
