Whats up with all the really weird Questions? I mean referring to Jesus as a "Cross Monkey" and other things. I mean do we really need to be-little people that much. I mean how can we ever expect to educate if we keep saying really out of line stuff? I mean alot of these people have been born into a religion where its all they have ever known. I think its not really gonna help them understand us by making fun of them with crazy statements. I just think the reason they believe like they do is because they don't know any better. Do you think we can all ease up a little? I think we should ask more logical questions not irrational questions. What do you think?

I Know im not perfect but I think we should all try to set the example. Alot of us think we are much smarter then then well lets prove it by asking better questions.

im actually surprised at how calm your tone is...i was expecting a tyrade about how religion is horrible.

the thing to remember is that it serves little good to lump people into groups. while there are such defined groups as muslims, christians, and in this case atheists...each has their own opinion on issues. the "we" you are refering to which make crazy statements are the radicals, which you can find in every group. the only thing that makes it seem like there are a lot of people like that is that they're the ones who pose those ludicrous and bitter questions/comments most often.

to ask what you have asked is undoable...no matter what group you ask this of, there will always be radicals willing to pick a fight with this, that, or the other religion

I agree with you. Making crazy statements and provoking with bad questions is not good. Sometimes, I will point out passages in the bible that do not make sense, but that will be in response to people using the bible as evidence that they are right. I will give my opinion when I think it is relevant. I will find links to back up facts that I present. I do not call people names or try to insult them. I believe that making a good argument is sometimes the best insult that you can deliver to some people.

I also do not subsribe to the "hey, they do it too" philosophy. Ok, let them. Let other people be irrational and ask insulting questions. Let us be the people who stay logical and rational and do not lower ourselves to the stupidity of others. Answer the bad questions, but keep a fairly civil tone about it. No threats, no insults, no dire predictions.

At the end of the day, the planet Earth will still have christians and atheists and we still have to live together.

I appreciate your concern for athesists not being so rotten to our beliefs, but I camly disagree with you when you say, "I just think the reason they belive like they do is because they don't know any better". I am not going to go down your throat like others do, but simply inform you of what we believe and why...

Catholics and other God believers alike know a lot better than most people what to belive. We do not just beleive because we were taught a certain way, the proof of the Bible and miracles in their selves sets the foundation for hope and faith. Many athesist only belive in logic and science, and science cannot prove everything. Just because you cannot see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I do not know about you but I can not live thinking that any day might be my last, and then it is over and we are buried. How can one think like this? I don't understand why atheists need proof of everything by science or logic. Not to be rude, but I think some people are born with a lack of faith, or depedning on their envionrment were not correctly exposed to God.

I hope I informed you of why..

These are my thoughts..nots your so don't take offense.

:)

I don't' intend for Christards to 'convert' to my side.

I don't really care what those delusional retards think.

I just want to prove them how small and feeble their beliefs and their so-called god are, that they're are an endangered species, and that I'm glad the world is shifting towards total Atheism, without the need to preach it or scripture it.

So long to the Roadkill-Nailed-To-A-Pole and to the Faceless Chimp!!

Let there be light, true wave/particle formed LIGHT!!

I'm not an atheist because i THINK I BELIEVE IN GOD BUT.....i do some times question the rationality of the belief, but i always come to the same conclusion , and that is why are we here and who made us! These questions keep me praying and believing!

I agree... I really try to do that, too. But sometimes I just get frustrated and respond to provoking questions in arrogant ways. May the FSM touch me with a noodly appendage and help me be a better atheist.

How altruistic of you! Thank you for allowing us to live in your world.

You are truly orbiting passionately towards a catastrophic magnitude!

yeah your right....but its just so hard! Sometimes we get so frustrated at them. But it is probably better in the long run if we just tone it down a little.

I think one can't get over ones anger, until one forgives ones parents, and understand they did the best they could with what they had to work with.
Once one has achieved that, then one will do what you suggested. Good intention, but reason isn't enough in this case.
