No no no!!!! And I don't want to wipe out any religion!!! Please don't generalize like that!!! There are fanatics among atheists as there are fanatics among religious people, and I know very well what Communist regimes have done, but I don't share any of these ideas!!! And most atheists don't share these ideas!! I believe in freedom of religion and in pluralism!! I never say that my way is the only right way!!! And I think that murder is the worst crime in the world!!

Yes, they support genocide and brainwashing. In fact, all of the dictators of the last century were heavy on genocide. They use "re-education camps" to brainwash those left over. Today, they use a more subversive method by putting the brainwashing into children's textbooks. By the time the poor children have reached college, 75% of them have successfully become atheists. The brainwashing worked! They also brainwash kids with sex ed, saying "Have lots of sex! Have fun! Just use a condom! We'll be here to abort your kid when you get pregnant (because we want your money and don't really care about you)!" Lots of kids have fallen for this brainwashing.

No rational persons, including atheists, are in favor of genocide and brainwashing. I'm a Humanist, and I'm not. I'm also not anti-religion. I truly believe in freedom of religion and belief. The only people I am against are those who wish to take away the freedoms of others. Believe what you want, but don't try to pressure or force others to follow your beliefs.

1. Atheists have no interest in 'wiping out' religion. We think you kids can believe whatever you want as long as you keep it to yourselves.

2. You're forgetting or simply not mentioning the third, actually practical, and non-violent way: Informing, teaching and enlightening some otherwise self-deluded, programmed and naive folks.

3. Brainwashing? You mean brain-restoring. You've already been brainwashed. And apparently really well....

First, I'm not an atheist, but of those that I know, such an idea would be silly. Most atheists that I know believe whole-heartedly in the FREEING of minds, not in their control by others.

Most atheists I know believe that everyone is entitled to belief what they wish, They do not wish to end or wipe out all religion, but the major source of animosity is against the undue control of religion over the population.

Such things as anti-intellecutalism preached in support of creationism over science, religious bias against homosexual rights ... things such as this, where religion reigns over those who are not a part of it are a great incentive to speak out against it.

If religions held that their beliefs were to be held and adhered to by those of their faith, and didn't wish to impose those beliefs on all of society, then there would be far fewer attacks against religions.

Your claims are ill-founded. Atheists, by definition, do NOT want to wipe out all religion - they simply choose NOT to believe in a supreme power themselves. Remember, by making such unfair and illogical claims, you lower yourself beneath those you would oppose. Fight fair or stay home.

Genocide and brainwashing have been effective but immoral tools used by religions and goverments for eons, but no rational mind can justify their use.

No, of course not. Look, Atheists do not want to kill everyone else on the planet. Nor do they want to brainwash you into believing as they do.

THEY JUST WANT YOU TO KEEP YOUR RELIGION TO YOURSELF.

Its not that hard to do (I do it all the time because my religion is my business, no one elses) but you Christians act like its the end of the world.

Just keep it to yourself. Thats all the Atheist wants.

Its the Abrahamic religions that war and want to cause genocide or brainwashing.

Atheists think for themselves, so getting us together to put together the mechanics for genocide in place would require decades of cat herding.

No we use education...one mind committed to reason at a time. no brainwashing required. Just facts.

Atheists against genocide? That is rich!!! Atheists against Brainwashing? LMAO!!! This is too much :O Do you know how many lives have been taken in the name of religion? Did you know the fact that 75% of religious people, with thousands of religions in existence, end up in their adult religion for life directly from their parents. This is the funniest post I've ever seen, good job!
