Very true. God being the First Cause, created Laws in which the universe is governed. All laws we presently have come to understand, such as the law of gravity was a creation by God. Many Laws have not been fully understood as of yet, to us, because of our point in the evolution process. This is where we expeirence things we dub phenomenons or supernatural events, because we lack the understanding of the laws which govern these events.
As we evolve, we will discover more and more how the universe is run. As with the present study of quantum mechanics, we strive to understand how the universe around us functions.
In a more concrete example, all the things that have been miracles, which Jesus performed, were the manipulation of the Laws of the universe. Jesus being the most evolved of spirits, knew how to do this. Because we do not understand and cannot explain, even to this day, how most of the things Jesus did while on Earth, they are still called miracles. But as we evolve, we will also learn how these things were done, and be able to do the same things when needed.
Already, we are learning of Spiritual Healing, as with Jon of God in Brazil, and others who are able to control certain aspects of Laws in which mainstream society has no knowledge of. They are able to heal people, through undertanding, knowledge and their own personal evolutional level, to relieve physical ailments, which are the effect, caused by their spiritual state. Jesus being a more powerful and evolved person, was able to heal individuals instantaneously, were as we are doing the same today, but on a more lengthy scale, needing weeks, months and sometimes years of work to accomplish the healing.

Evolution is a fact. However, the fact of evolution does not at all negate the idea of a creator as a first cause. Actually any scientific theory, law, or observation does no harm to the idea of a creator. Most scientists, though, do not find it necessary to discuss the possibility of a creator. Why? It is not needed to observe, describe or categorize natural phenomena. Despite the fact that a deity is a logical improbability, it is not an impossibility.
I am an atheist because I choose to believe that the universe does not offer evidence of any deity, and furthermore, appears to lack any reason for one.

--That would be fine & good if there was any reference in the Bible, especially!
--Does the Bible and God's biographers make even the mention the idea of God using a false science such as evolution?
The only reference is made to the pagan religions worship of animals in the Babylonian ,belief in evolution--It is not a new theory.
Note how clear the worship of animals in idolatry is referenced as being totally an abhorence to God and should be with us:
(Romans 1:20-23) “20Â For his invisible [qualities] are clearly seen from the world’s creation(DIRECT CREATION--my caps and comment) onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable; 21Â because, although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God nor did they thank him, but they became empty-headed in their reasonings and their unintelligent heart became darkened. 22Â Although asserting they were wise, they became foolish 23Â and turned the glory of the incorruptible God into something like the image of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed creatures and creeping things.”.....
--If you note the emphasis of putting animals in worshipful position is definetly disgusting to God, and how such ideas could easily conjure up the "dieties of evolution", the animals themselves
--Note also the attitude and displacement of God, and his disgust, by a process he never used:
(Romans 1:25-26) “25 even those who exchanged the truth of God for the lie and venerated and rendered sacred service to the creation rather than the One who created, who is blessed forever. Amen... . .”

Of course it could. God is an interchangable element, really. As of yet, it's impossible to know whether or not God exists, because as far as we can know, anything that occurs could just as possibly occur with him as without him.
Based on the nature of causality, actually, my beliefs state that a single initial incident (probably, the big bang) determined literally everything that would happen thereafter, right down to the tiniest detail. That could have been calculated and caused by a higher power, or it could have just happened.

Not much of a plan. Get the ball rolling and step back and see what happens. I guess God would be a true scientist in this case then, but given that he can't interfere or it will screw up his results......

Not if you believe the bible. And how can you believe in God and not His word? If God is powerful enough to create the world He is powerful enough to keep His Word true, and the bible says 6 days. If it said 6 billion I would believe it. But it does not. My God is powerful enough to create the world in 6 days, 6 years, 6 minutes, 6 seconds or with the snap of a finger. He took six days to show us the model for a week.
Also to believe in evolution is to believe in death before sin. The wages of sin is death. If there was no man, there was no sin, if there was no sin, there was no death. It just doesn't fit with a biblical worldview.

No.
Evolution explains simplicity becoming complex.
God is a complex being. He must have started out simple. So who created him? But then who created THAT guy? It goes on back forever = illogical.

Yes, G.O.D. = Grand Organizing Design of the Universe, that is, the self-organizing property of matter.

Perhaps...evolution is a big subject.
But the "man came from apes" thing is clearly ruled out by the Word.

No, because it would have to be a pretty dumb god to use millions of years of suffering, misfits and death just to produce humans. MY God did it right the first time. And He even wrote it down!
