The wonderful thing about chicken is that how you cook it can help determine what you can cook with it. So, the first decision is, how to cook the chicken. Baking the chicken is a very healthy way to cut fat and keep lots of flavor in. Usually when chicken is baked, savory herbs and spices are used to flavor the chicken, and is usually paired with a rice pilaf, and what i like to call "high end" vegatables, broccoli, asparagas, or zuccini. If your in a hurry, I always like a deep southern fry of my chicken legs, and it is always a traditional southern treat to be coupled with some homeade mashed potatoes, and sweet corn on the cob, or some green beans. in a pinch you can always use canned greenbeans and nibblet corn. Grilled chicken is always popular around picknicks, and outdoor family time. Grilling chicken also allows you to use some unusuall cooking methods for your side dishes. Cubing up some zuccini, yellow squash, and/or broccoli and adding a few herbs, and a tablespoon of butter or margarine makes for some fancy grill-made veggies by wraping the whole mess in a little foil bag and placing on the grill for about the last 5-7 min of grilling your chicken. If your planning on having some fellas over, and its about time for some game-food, or your having hotwing withdralls from superbowl sunday, but dont want to shell out the money for chicken wings, you can always make some "hot legs". Deep fry "naked" chicken legs in hot oil for about 20 min. coat in hotwing sauce, and serve with celery sticks, carrot sticks, home fries, a little ranch dressing with bacon bits mixed in, and your gonna have one happy group of folks... serve with Ice cold Beer for that tounge extinguishing touch!

Salad, fries...maybe....

Drumsticks are pretty dull to be honest. They are party finger food to most people.

I'm sure they will taste fab though...especially if they have chinese style sticky sauce on them!
