No, it's not. By the time mold appears on the surface of food, it is already bad all the way through. We just can't see it yet.
It may only give you gas or indigestion, but it is no longer fresh food.

As far as I know it is safe to eat those items after scraping away the mold.

Cheese will mold naturally and get a white looking dust on the surface. I have scraped this away many times and eaten the remainder. The same is true of bread and jelly. (jelly doesn't usually mold)

Salami I'm not sure about. I live in Tennessee and we don't see much salami down here. We have souse and you don't want to eat it even if it isn't moldy.

Some molds are used to make certain kinds of cheeses including Roquefort, blue, Camembert etc. The mold on these cheeses is safe to eat. Mold on other types of cheeses should not be there. Discard any soft cheese showing mold.
Discard any soft fruits or vegetables, jams and jellies, bread, and baked goods that show signs of mold.
Do not eat any of the products showing signs of mold even after cutting the piece showing mold growth.

some molds are used to verify varieties of cheeses which contains Roquefort, blue, Camembert etc. the mould on those cheeses is acceptable for eating. mould on different varieties of cheeses could no longer be there. Discard any tender cheese showing mould. Discard any tender culmination or greens, jams and jellies, bread, and baked products that instruct signs and indicators of mould. do no longer devour any of the products showing signs and indicators of mould even after slicing the piece showing mould improve.

are you a student trying to save money,

it depends on the food. if there is mold on bread, there is a good chance the bread has had it, mold could be right through

a little bit of mould can be cut away.
but if its dotted with green blotches, its time to give up

I do it all the time. The unmoldy part is not moldy as far as I am concerned.

my boyfriend eats moldy cheese and out of date yogurts,he always has done he said they taste better.
